middle class..California lost a very helpful store for those who cannot afford Ralphs & Vons Grocery stores...we lost over 300 stores called "The 99Cent Only Store". it offered fresh veggies and fruit, food that was NOT expired. Sort of like the Grocery Outlet, but cheaper. That hit our house hard! Use to get a 8 oz of fresh mushrooms for 99 cents. Asparagus, grapes, cherries, bell peppers, potatotos, 8 pack tomatoes, Romaine lettuce 3 pack ALL CHEAPER THAN AT REGULAR GROCERY STORES. I miss it.
