I had the purple label original and I have the new one. I feel the new version is more than adequate and is expertly blended. I loved the original but it almost felt like it was trying to be too many things at once. I do miss the saffron but would still buy even another bottle of the new version because I love it. Hate the new bottle design though.
Yes! I think it’ll get even more ridiculous, now that Estée Lauder has full ownership and control of the label. They’ve launched over 6 new fragrances in one year. I think they’ll run the brand into the ground
@@Zlervo complete agree with you! I think it’s due to the giant beauty parent companies like LVMH, LOREAL and Estée Lauder getting greedy. But in my opinion TOM FORD and Chanel are to blame allot, as they wanted their name to be “elevated”. So everyone else didn’t want to be see as less than.
I have the original with the purple label and only wear it on my birthday and special occasions. I’d like to get the new one so I can wear it more often. Great video! Thank you for sharing your content! 😊
I love the private blend version. It was probably my favorite Tom Ford fragrance. Sadly the new isn’t as good, but it’s the closet thing to the classic.
The new version has the exact same formula code as the most recent Private Blend version. If there was any reformulation, it was before this relaunch and re-bottling.
The new version losses Amber, may rose, saffron, black pepper, and used synthetic Bulgarian rose and synthetic Turkish rose. They also use a synthesized coffee note and add ylang - ylang , coriander, and cardamom. They are not the same at all. They lost all of the seller elements that made the scent luxurious.
Thanks for the review. I'm definitely going for the private blend.
You are Outstanding
Cafe Rose originally released in Jardin du Nuit (night garden) included: CR, Jonquille Nuit, Ombre de Hyacinth & Lys Fumee i do believe

I think it’s a nice scent. I was just in love with the old formula. I don’t like any of the Tom Ford mainstream bottles , they seem lazy.
The prices for Tom ford fragrances are ridiculous! The new myrrhe mystere 50ml is over 300€…

@@vscents5674I don't know why fashion houses are behaving like this? They have so much influence and power in the fashion and beauty field.

🙏 you are the best, thank you !
Question: Why some of the old formula bottled have silver label vs purple? How do we know which one is part of the private collection?
You would be able to tell based on the bottle. They changed the label “sticker” a few times.
Thank you so much for this! I still have the private blend and it's my absolute favorite. I was curious about this version, seems disappointing.

@@vscents5674there's a store in Australia called Palermo Perfume that smells exactly like the old formula.
Rescued!!!!! 😂

Elaborate on your comment
The old original fragrance was soooooo much better.
The new fragrance smells disappointing and generic.
Very bland and boring.
