Today, I'm sharing my thoughts in a casual makeup playdate of the NEW Natasha Denona Glam Palette: a cool neutral eyeshadow palette. I also share my thoughts on some other new goodies that made their way into my stash over the last couple of months, as well as getting reacquainted with old favs that FINALLY ARRIVED ON THE BOAT!!!! For me, I’m in a place where I need to wear a mask whenever I go out, so I wear a full eyeshadow look everyday, but I skip foundation and just wear concealer and blush on my face.

Try mixing those two top right shadows. That's what I've been doing for my crease color.

Personally, I've never understood why someone would wear a lighter shade of concealer under the eyes (even though I've done it myself...weird, I know), because it just makes dark circles look ashy.
It would always emphasize my dark circles when I would do it.

I really enjoy washing brushes once a week or so. It's one of those nice tasks that has a very manageable scope of effort with immediate results :). You are 100% right about a lot of us having too many brushes. I basically use like 40% of my brush collection over and over, so decluttering the others is probably a good idea.
And then someone else can enjoy them :)
I totally agree about the lighter shades of concealer making under eyes looking ashy! I have also been trying to wear a more skin tone concealer shade on my under eyes lately!

Gorgeous look Arna🤩 and I very much enjoyed your review of the pallet. 💕It's interesting how ones preference to makeup can change so much over time. I went from no makeup to full glam, to wherever I now settled somewhere in between. I don't feel like my eye makeup have to match and be as glam, even though I always wear a full coverage base. A liner and mascara is enough.
I'll try to help out and bug them to get you all a Naked pallet, even though I don't need it myself! 😉✨🌻🌻🌻✨

Hi Arna, what is your favorite cream blush? I’ve never tried one and really want to. I have to tell you I really respect how you’re decluttering, using up the products you have and not encouraging people to run out and buy every new product. It’s admirable and I hope to be more mindful of what I’m purchasing in the new year.

“Tease” from Urban Decay Naked 2 is my all time favorite crease shadow. I’m always interested to hear what palettes have shadows that compare to that shade

Just FYI- Temptalia says Python from the Colourpop That’s Taupe palette is a 90% match for Urban Decay Tease. 🤓
I know what you mean by a perfect transition for the eyes. I am on my second Tarte contour/highlighter palette called Don't Be Afraid to Sparkle. It puts me in mind of the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow. Anyway, the contour (could be a bronzer on certain skintones) is the perfect transition color. I often just wear the two, with the highlight in my lid. Love that tone.

You have the exact critique of ND that I do. Where’s the mauvey taupe matte? You see the tones in multiple shimmers, but all the mid tone mattes lean warmer (or too deep for pale skin). I still love the palette and don’t regret buying, but it was so close to perfection for me. ☺️🌻

Agree with you on the PMG palettes but that still doesn’t stop me buying them 🙈 I got a few of her singles for 50% off and am hooked. Worlds best eyeshadow formula hands down. You should get a few of her singles (statuesque and celestial are 2 perfect everyday shades). I got backups in case I run out they are that good. 😍👌🏼

Hi Lorraine! Because I have this one, I likely won’t get the CP ones! Especially Stone Cold Fox looks waaaaaay too cool for me haha I like neutral neutrals 🤪
I don’t know if they come in matte and shimmer finishes or if they’re the exact same formula as in her palettes, but I know Pat McGrath Labs does have a variety of single shadows. If you think the single shadows would be worth it, since you can purchase the ones you think are perfect for you, then that could be a good option.

Instead of using foundation, if you can get the Australian Gold tinted face sunscreen, it makes my neck/ chest darker, almost like a cream bronzer, and sets nicely. ☺️
Despite the name, we can’t get Australian Gold in Australia or NZ 😅

Regarding Pat McGrath, I don't have any of her palettes (well, except a small mini 5 pan when it was 50% off, and I depotted two shades and threw the others away), just wanted to say, I think her shade "sextrovert" (quite a name!!) is absolutely brilliant. It was in that little palette, but then also saw it sold as a single. I bought 3 of that single shadow on black Friday (I think it was $12.50 each?) as stocking stuffers for my sister and sister-in-law, as well as a backup for me! It really is the most beautiful brown I've ever used. Just thought I'd mention the option of a few singles that she has.

Merry Christmas!! My very old/well used bits just had to be thrown away, but I boxed up a ton of lightly used/new things and gave them to one of my good friends who distributed them to some women in her apartment building who were down on their luck and could use a wee pick me up :) Op Shops won’t really take them, especially if they’ve been opened, but I did in the past use to gift new products to a local women’s shelter in South Melbourne (think it was either DVRCV or YWCA) xx
I googled it and urban decay sells Tease as a single! Maybe that would be a good addition to your eyeshadow collection?

Did you have a problem with picking up the shimmers with a brush? They really didn’t pick up for me, finger was better but I’d rather not. Also sprayed brush for wet and was better than dry. Almost looks like one is getting hard pan.
Yeah they work better with a moist brush or finger, but I find that the case for almost all shimmer eyeshadows, including the UD Naked2
I was a bit disappointed by the ND palette. I find the dark matte a bit patchy and not very pigmented. They don’t last very well on me either 🥺 I watched a lot of reviews and decided to splurge on it as a well done for finishing my masters degree

I just recent got the Colourpop taupe palette and I like it but it’s not quite fulfilling my taupe dreams. It also lacks a good medium crease shade and I find the darker mattes come off looking too grey.
I’m actually really enjoying the Coconut one they did again 😅 it’s not cool toned, but it’s not crazy warm either!
I really need to cut down on my brushes. I have so many but have my favorites and the rest are just clutter. Maybe a project for the next 2 days that I took off from work.

I have the Sydney grace palette and about 30 of her single shadows and I love them! My top favorite shadows. There is a reason the palette is always out of stock.

Ohh yes, the quality is amazing, there are no hit or miss writh Sidney grace shadows, they are so so good.
However I know ND shadows are getting a lot of talk, but some times they are hard to work writh and fore that prise it should not be harde to work with.

I can’t stand dirty brushes, so I wash them after every use. I don’t love washing them every day, but the idea of washing a big pile of really dirty brushes is horrifying.
Absolutely!! I just don’t have the time or will to do them all daily (except my sponge) but once a week is easy enough to squeeze in! I also have one of those dry brush cleaners for mid-week spot cleans to change eyeshadow colours etc x
The minimalistic attitude is starting to frighten me.....
