- It happened...Pharrell showed his first Louis Vuitton collection - this is the Louis Vuitton Men's SS24 show. In February, it was announced that Pharrell would be the new creative director of the men's department of french fashion house and I go through all the looks to digest the vibe, the best pieces and the bags worth pre-ordering...ENJOY!

The coats and bags were everything. Glorious. And the Choir . . . . . 🙌🏾 got me up out of my seat, they were 🔥. That show, the looks, the vibes has made fashion fun again. Bravo Pharrell 👏🏾 👏🏾.

Same. I can’t stand LV, but this is a gorgeous collection.
I absolutely loved the show it just seems like men’s fashion is an after thought to women’s generally I felt it was innovative in the way it’s wearable and loved his reaction at the close of the show he seems so humble. I haven’t seen a men’s collection this good since Virgil first collection. I also watched his Vogue behind the scenes I just love him.

Lang Lang was playing the piano! Arguably the greatest pianist of our time…the setting was just so symbolic and expressive and reflective of everyday life. How we see fashion in the wild. A wonderful revival. And the checkerboard runway was so subtle it was everything

I loved it so much, I don’t think it takes someone to be formally trained in order to have fashion sense and creativity. This is definitely a line that my brother and boyfriend would wear
LV proved how commercially practical yet fabulous they can be !
I loved everything about it, the jackets, the Almas, the speedys, the checkered runway, the carts carrying the trunks, the diversity of the models, the music, the choir, the guest list, the team all coming out at the end. Pharrell did that. 👏👏👏👏👏

I think it was very smart for Pharrell to go more commercial in his designs for Louis Vuitton. He came in said, I could do crazy if I wanted to but I’m going to show you that I can make pieces that everyone will want outside my name. I think the next collection will be where Pharrell will really stretch his legs. I don’t know prices yet but I think that with LV limiting their neverfulls, he brought in those leather shopping bags as a new entry level product. You had mentioned you don’t like those kits that turn the paper shopping bags into “plastic purses”. The leather shoppers could be the “new” neverfull in terms of accessibility to those just starting their luxury bag journey.
LV will always have a special place in my heart (my first love💖). very first LV bag was Alma PM (24 yrs ago, 1st paycheck reward 🥰)and it still sitting pretty in my shelf. Love the trunk bag from this collection.

I'm glad this wasn't a disaster lol Maybe that's why he kept it a bit safe straight out of the gate. Personally I'm a pearl girl so I loved that pearl beanie. I also loved the slippers, the baseball hat with the little pockets, and the light blue denim on denim look.
That denim was EVERYTHING!
I loved the pearl details on the Damier Ebene, especially in the jackets and the beanie 😍
As I mentioned a few videos ago, I'm glad we gave him the opportunity to show his potential. He did not disappoint, and I'm proud of his hard work. I just can't wait till it's available.

I don’t even need to hear let alone see what ideas he would have to know it’d be epic!!! 😆 This was honestly the best production of a fashion show I have seen in a LONG time!!! It was very nostalgic for me as I could see all the references he used during my time there & just how he brought it all to life! VERY him but just a breath of fresh air to the brand again! I NEED something from this collection!!! 😍

Not an LV person, but I’m mostly curious about the theory of a non-trained “personality” heading up the creative side of a fashion house. How does that work? I’m entirely ignorant about the whole process. I understand the contribution of a design team, which is basically to create the line and execute it, but where does the director in this case come in, someone who presumably doesn’t know how tailoring works, or the viability of certain fabrics, etc? It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall during the creative process. ❤
They’re meant to be more about “the vision” and creating the overarching story and then approving looks - requesting changes/tweaks etc, but they can also be must more involved in the details/fabric choices etc. it really depends on the person, but I agree I’d love to know the ins and outs 😍
When MIA did her Versace collection, she was also inspired by fakes. Fakes were/are a big part of NY rapper culture. I love that nod.
This was not bad at all. The rose gold vernis trunk, that I currently cannot afford was my favorite. It was a good look for his 1st show! Let's see Pharrell! 😊
The decision to bring Stefano Pilati on the runway is something that made me stan Pharell's work for LV 🌍
We were all waiting with bated breath but he did the damn thing! Very happy for him and the design house. That long white coat though? Was spectacular!
The show and collection was very much an introduction to Pharrell, who he is and where he is from (even the camo print reminded me of the part of VA where he’s from which has a heavy military presence. The camo looks inspired by the navy working uniform). I loved a lot of the looks and saw items my hubby would love. I’m excited. Congratulations to Pharrell on this.
Louis Vuitton has become my favorite luxury brand since last year, idk I feel like enter a candy store, their collection is very pleasing my eyes…I’ve been purchasing their fine jewelry key pouch sunglasses and shoes. Not yet the bag tho…I’ve always missing out pieces that I love 😅
Pharrell Williams debut collection for Louis Vuitton Menswear 2024 was stellar. He and the design team masterfully manipulated the Damier print, while using house codes from Virgil Abloh, Marc Jacobs, and Kim Jones. The show and the soundtrack were incredible. This collection was also true to his personal style. It will be an continued commercial success. Loved those purple bowling sneakers and bags. Those colorful leather Speedies and reconfigured Soft Trunks are epic.
I really liked the collection way more than than the women's. I really like the digital camo, but what I really loved was the the bags and that oversized alma wow! I loved most of it not that I can afford it. Also the music was great

I loved the bags!!! I'm not a total fan of the camouflage but it does look VERY commercial and I can definitely see people wearing the collection with ease. Especially the LV-Lover pieces.

I loved the theatrics, but I didn’t feel much regarding the pieces. The pearls on that bag strap have me very excited for future collections. I hope he continues to work with damier because some of those jackets were fabulous.

Been waiting for your discussion of the collection and show. I agree with everything you’ve said but I’d like to mention that like the play on the epi leather denim suit. I also think the use of pixelated Damier just makes it look fresh and fun. I also think it responds well to the not so quiet quiet luxury trend. LV Menswear is in very good hands.

I agree that men’s collection do leaps and bounds around the women’s collection. I always find so many amazing pieces in the men’s collection that I love. Hopefully I can get a few pieces. That need to get Rihanna or someone very fashion forward to do the women’s collection.
