I'd much rather push a short dumpy low range stick into a Tactile Mechanical Engagement, pull up the Diff Lock, Point and Squirt, simple and uncomplicated, Latest RR's for fairys now
+Igor K Had a G4 Range Rover Sport, tyres were screwed at 16,000 miles, Sat Nav didn't work after 3 months, engine (4.4 V8 Petrol) dumbs down when off road and wouldnt pull the skin of a rice puddin, tyres are totally U/S when in slippy wet conditions, Sill height is too low and bellys out on tree roots etc, the ungainly arse end has crap departure angle same with the front end Approach angle !!!! Tried the New and its CRAP !!, Gi mi old tech that works without spending half its life back at the dealer !!! mending unecessary Gizmonics, youre obviously young and inexperienced but the penny will drop in another 10 years mi old fruit.
+Igor K It "MIGHT" be a very good car (doubtful) but it costs a Intergalactic price that noone in their right mind would be able justifying putting the car to Work, back in the day when RR Classic was current we had chain saws, sledge hammers, axes,shovels, towing chains, tool boxes, picks, sthil saws all in the back and climb in and out covered in sh1t n come Saturday morning just open the big 2 doors and hose it out or blow out the dust with a compressor, wipe over the vinyl with Decosol, and Bobs yur Uncle Fannys yur Aunt !, n go out for a meal Saturday night and swap the Utility trailer for the horse trailer and a spot of Point to Point on Sunday, but theyre too fancy now and you cant put em to work plus ridiculously priced, so they are just for Knobs or women carting kids about in, ive no respect for the car or Land Rover anymore.
The mechanical systems were actually more confusing considering they're not telling you exactly what to do. -can I get into low range now? - do I have to go into neutral first? -are my diffs even locked? You can win the possibly unnecessary complications argument, but dann sure not the confusing argument--while you have a full hd readout of everything that is or ain't happening
