Here's what's funny when it came down to the last spin, despite that luck was totally on Joe's side with getting 4 spins in a row, when Joe landed on "Move One Space" to either $500 and a spin or $2500, had he chose $2500, he would tied with Mark and that would have made them both come back because they both would have had $5250 each. Missed opportunity there, but I guess he wanted to win on his own terms.
That would of been a First on Press Your Luck 2 people come back with the same amount of money. Their was one Press your Luck Episode all 3 contestants came back with no money cause they all Whammied out.
@@bobbymonteforte3705 I don't think they whammied out. Because if they all had 4 whammies, that would eliminate them from the game for good. They all probably had $0, which would also be among the first of crazy things to happen on that show. It's kind of a bummer that he chose $500 and a spin, even though I know what he was trying to do. Because him and Mark would walked away with something, despite whatever the outcome would have been in their 2nd game.
@@johnbakasmoothhotchocolate Mark won by the luck of the draw! On Joe's final spin of the game, he landed on $750. Had it been London instead of $750, Mark would've lost the game.
@ericsiegel2401 What I'm saying is that he could have tied if he had gone with that option. But I guess he thought he could win on his own, and I give him credit for that.
This was not the first episode to have a potential non-zero tie...A few weeks earlier, in Grace/Glenn/Tracey, Tracey had the last spin of the game. She and Grace were tied at $1,250 and she passed the last spin to Glenn, who had a five-figure amount. If Glenn would have whammied, Tracey and Grace (who was already the returning champion) would have tied.....
@angrybirdsfan2003 there was also a chance of this happening in episode #148. Ironically, there was a tie for the lead at the end of round one in that episode!
Thank you BUZZR for unearthing this episode and adding it to everyone.
Yes, THANK YOU!!! I've been waiting over 28 years to see this episode again!

I, for one, was a big fan of the tape glitch at the end.
Some people may think it's due to tape damage, but I think it's due to Buzzr pausing the tape a little too early when they were dubbing it.

Seems the Whammy indicators got stuck in Round #2, but Peter Tomarken is keeping track of them.

Why didn't he pick the $2500, closest to having the 1st non-$0 tie
Maybe the dummy didn't realize that amount would tie Mark.
