This is a ""Spring Point"" the Self-restoring switch by spring. It is used at train Passing loop on Japanese Local-Lines.
( 05:20 ) When the train enters the loop , Normally It switches to the position the train should go. However , For safety reasons , It is used on slow Local-Lines with Speed Limits , and also has the disadvantage of wearing-out the wheels.
What kind of catch point is that thing in the first few seconds (which leads to that short stub track). It doesn't seem to be a normal point (missing a switch blade), how does it work? It's built to be simple , because Construction Vehicles don't often move. Even with it in place , the main-rails are Straight ( not disconnected ) . The full removal and reattachment of the components of the "point" is probably a safety feature: The workers are more likely to notice any "missed" parts remaining on the track if they need to completely remove (and transport) the pieces. I couldn't find the English translation, however it is a mix between the German "Zungen- und herzstücklose Anbindung" (blade- and frogless connection) de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weiche_(Bahn)#Zungen-_und_herzst%C3%BCcklose_Anbindung_(ZHA) and "Kletterweiche" below it (which is a mobile point mostly used in tram networks). The former required removing parts of the track and reassembling them for the "turn" direction, also decreasing accident chance (the crew knows they have to restore the tracks). They were mostly removed in the last 30 years unfortunately (since a lot of substation-connections were removed, and transports of this kind are nowadays mostly conducted on road). It's an interesting concept I've never seen before.

定位=列車が通常 向かって行く方向
反位=その逆方向=向かって来る方向
( 05:20 ) 通常、ポイントは定位に向いているので
駅に入るときは定位で ある左へ曲がっていくが、
( 06:50 ) 駅から出るとき、ポイントの反位側から逆方向に進入するときは
車輪でレールを押しのけて [ 割り出して ] ポイントを転換させる。
時間が経ってから、バネとダンパーに よって定位に戻る。
勝手に切り替わるのでポイント操作が不要に なるが、
車輪の摩耗 と 安全性の観点に より速度制限が掛かるので、高速路線には向かない。

トングレールの付いていない分岐器のようなものは、
「 横取装置 」( よこどり そうち ) 。
工事用車両が使われる頻度は少ないので
