I think the song choices were meant to refer to their characters in _The Untamed_ , not to each other as real people. Or that's how they understood the question, anyway. So Xiao Zhan picks 'If I were young' for Lan Zhan (not for Wang Yibo). And Wang Yibo picks 'That boy' for Wei WuXian (not for Xiao Zhan). Makes more sense that way!

Wang Yibo is far too young for the song 'If I were young to make sense in respect of him. But it makes very good sense for Lan Zhan. It is a song of regret about the past, of the speaker in the song recognizing past missed opportunity, wishing he'd done things differently in the past, wishing he'd treated someone better or differently in the past, and hoping to do better from now on. That's Lan Zhan, not Wang Yibo I don't think.
