Awesome Break-down of the scales, notes, pick direction and finger choice. ( I could do without the looping guitar riff in the background) All said; this video is really Helpful, thank you.
I added that backing track because I thought all the written parts were boring while silent. I had planned on automating volume drops as the scales started. However, I liked how it sounded as the scales and modes played over the backing track. I lowered the volume of the backing track so the audio of the scales and modes stood out. It was a happy accident that the audio I chose to use was in the same bpm. Long story short I am going to publish each scale/box and mode as its own short video and I won't add the backing track on those. So stay tuned I'm planning to publish those on Tuesdays. Thanks for your comment and have fun with these videos.
This is a great question. The colors represent the notes position in the scale. So the orange note is the second not of the scale. In the key of G the second note of the scale is the note A. The red represents the third note of the scale. In the key of G the third note of the scale is the note B. The interval between the notes A and B is a whole step. You can call a whole step a major second as well. Those two terms mean the same thing. Again the red note represents the third note of the scale. In the key of G the third note of the scale is the note B. The blue note represents the fifth note of the scale. In the key of G the fifth note of the scale is the note D. The interval between the notes B and D is a minor third. I hope this helps. If it doesn't let's keep this conversation going. Let me know if there are more questions.
@@mabblers I am very excited about another video I'm working on right now. It's a chord/triad video that will look similar to this scale video. If you haven't already subscribe to the channel and hit the bell icon so you get notifications when new videos are published.

So going color to next color is the interval between the two. ie. Orange to Red would be a 3rd and red to blue would be a 5th? Great lesson.
