Independence Day parade and Republic day parade happens every year on 15th August and 26th January in the similar fashion as you saw since 1947 when we got independence. It's more celebratory in nature for our diversity, discipline and culture as well as reminder of how we got independence from colonialism.
India has the largest voluntary army in the world.
When u watch indian army....till now it is not as powerful as US army, but still it is worlds 4th powerful...2nd in manpower....it operates worlds highest battlefield...have anti satellite wepons...and probably worlds best in warfare.

Are you out of your mind? Indian army deals with Pakistan and China every single day. US has got no such hostile neighbours. We’ve defeated Pak many times and recently gave a befitting response to the Chinese army. They’re the most experienced. Siachen, Ladakh, PoK, North east, Rajasthan, Punjab..fighting in different terrains and on many fronts. Get your facts right.
India is better than US as India deals with China and pakisthan in border where USA is in a peaceful place .

I wonder if you knew India has a lot of American military hardware too, Chinook and Apache helicopters, C130 Hercules and C17 globemaster transport aircrafts and others too, even French Rafales fighters. Many people have a misconception that India only has Russian hardware. Don't know much about details but the US Super Hornet and the French Rafale are the two contenders to supply fighter aircraft for the Indian Navy.

This parade happens twice a year every year, one on Republic day 26th Jan and the other on Independence day which is on 15th August at Red Fort in New Delhi(Capital of India) and it is not a Show off(India never invaded any country and will never so but to protect itself). This parade runs at least for couple of hours in the morning after the flag hoisting, the video you showed is just a sneak peak and it is about the celebration of it's culture and it's a feast watching it time and again. India's Army is Huge and all these different uniforms are from Army, Airforce, Navy and each have number of regiments and their uniforms code changes every time for all these number of regiments and hence you see all different colors. India itself means Colors, Festivals, Food, Arts, Family System, Science, Astrology, Numerology, Accupressure, Yoga, Spirituality, Agriculture, Movies(Bollywood, Tollywood, Kollywood etc there are 10's of them), Sports, Machinery, Pharmacy, Information Technology, Railways, Military, Defense, Nuclear Power, Satellites, Billionaires, CEOs of MNCs etc. It's not just a country, each state in India itself is like a country as there are officially 22 languages and unofficially hundreds of languages with different dialects(yes, no exaggeration) and each state's culture, food, festivals all differ. In one word, India is not a country, but a mini WORLD. There is nothing in India that is not available here. Btw, India stands as top 5 in the economy and top 2 as the strongest and largest Army and top 3 in the Airforce and now with the latest INS Vikrant's addition(cost $2.9Billion USD) in Navy which is indigenously built by India in India and stands as the 6th country to have such a gigantic ship. The west is slowly realizing what India is and not as shown by the western biased media showing slums and snake charmers...I live in the US and I see there are still lots of deprived folks begging at traffic signals in CA, TX etc and many places I see lot of people sheltering at downtowns, salvation army places, under the highway bridges etc. There is still poverty in the developed country like USA and it's high time, no offense but the west change their pre conceived notions towards rising India which is the only country flourishing now with unbelievable GDP growth when almost the entire west and europe are fearing or falling into Recession. most regiments serving for indian army were once a part of several empires, i am half rajput(warrior class) we have rajputana regiment and it was a part of rajputana empire who waged war against islamic invasion for more than 534 years
If we are talking just about sizes of Armies (i.e.Ground Forces = Armed Forces - Navy - Air Force - Space Force):-
Indian Army is the world's largest Army.

Indian Army has 1.2 Million troops and enough units for more than 45 Divisions.
Chinese Army has 0.90 Million troops, roughly 42 Divisions in size. (Remember, Chinese Army is not PLA, its a part of PLA known as PLA GF. Even if you include PLA RF, you still only get about 1 Million troops.)
US Army is 0.50 Million troops across 31 Active BCTs and various support Brigades, which is maybe around 20 Divisions worth (less than half the size of Indian Army in terms of Active Combat Units).
Russian Army is 0.35 Million troops, roughly 15 Divisions (including Russian Airborne i.e. VDV).

Apart from these four Major Powers of the world, others that have a large Army would be North Korea (0.95 Million troops), South Korea (0.42 Million in peacetime), Pakistan (0.56 Million) and Iran (0.55 Million).
All other armies in the world are smaller than 0.40 Million troops.
