I have the Dreame L20, I purchased a couple days ago so far loving it. I really like the swing brush on this model. I will need a second robo vac for my basement so maybe I will get this one if it goes on sale. I was also looking at the Dreame X40 but it is soooo expensive.
Soooo with the “smart plan” setting, have you found it decided its own scheduling? I got confused when you mentioned doing scheduling so you don’t have to remember to tell it to clean. But I was hoping the smart plan function would do that

Accurate lidar sensors are more expensive than high def cameras. That is why everyone is not using Lidar. The first self driving cars had a million dollars in lidar units mounted around the vehicle. This is why companies like tesla for example have been working so hard to do "vision" only because a 4k camera is like $10 and very small. Cheap lidar units are $100+

Can I tell the robot to go to a specific place and show/record video or take a picture? Thinking; as I live in an apartment, maybe I can use the robot to check if I got post/mail when I am not home?

Euphy security cameras have had (may still have) security breachs. Worth looking into as part of your research.

And roborock is a Chinese based company right? So when it says it stores pictures and videos locally and then deletes them can I really trust that?
