Yes so true, if they don’t like the flicks part. I think very rarely do you have to actually “use” the whip Even with a lazy horse you can make a lot of noise 🤣
@@jedsequine1564 my lazy horse sometimes needs a very light tap on his rear to step it up in gear lol I have to flick the whip a few times loudly for him to get up but the odd day he just gets so lazy I end up tapping him with the string lol
it's SO TRUE! i was unloading a horse one time and he ripped the leadrope right through my hand... i never forgot ... had blisters on my hands for days
Why do you attach the inside side rein between the front legs to the middle of the belly? I must have missed it if you explained that. First time I've seen that. Thanks!
I do this to help encourage the horse to seek down for the contact and stretch over the back- working on more of a long and low outline rather than an up frame
Ohh man my gelding as ripped the lunge from the hands once. Rope burn hurts and stings so bad for so long lol 😆 never again will I lunge without glove!
I also use a lunge whip as an extension of my arm. With some horses, I have to hold the lash.

Little Miss Woodleigh argh! Yep I tend to wear gloves if I’m using a lunge line to load as well! Bad times 🤣
