Well done. I am an FBLA State champion in ML Public Speaking and I owe a lot of it to you. I first watched your speech 2 years ago and I wanted to do the same thing you did. I will be competing in approximately a month as a freshman and I hope to repeat my middle years. Thank you for giving me these dreams, and furthermore, helping make those dreams reality.
@@OatsOats I did, not as a freshman but many years later as a senior in high school. I'm now a sophomore in college and on the collegiate speech team. Things have a funny way of working out in the end.
@@jordyc3988 what are you majoring in? You appear to be taking the same route as me, so perhaps you give me a glance at my future. Personally I want to open my own private equity firm. I placed 2nd in districts competition & avoided states out of fear.
wooowwwwwww. I'm in high school FBLA, and tomorrow, I have to give a speech regarding the same FBLA goal. I was inspired by your speech. I'm in Boy Scouts and have a very similar story that I can use for the speech. Thank you, David!
I am a current South Carolina FBLA Member and have placed 2nd, and 1st in consecutive years in Public Speaking I on the State level. But usually my judges leave comments that say for me to move around less, or not be as interactive.. I'm just trying to get a feel for what the judges at nationals prefer, as ive qualified both years but i've never placed at nationals. Any advice would be greatly appreciated especially since im going into a tougher event this year (PS II)
