Did it come out in 2001-2002 because I remember this song. Good days :)
MrButter Diamond 2001
I had no idea this song would be relevant to my life years after I first heard it. It's bringing back memories. Like I remember where I was when I first saw this crazy video.
This deserves nothing less than as much volume you can play it on !
Totally.... high volume brings out stuff in this song that you just don't get at lower volume
This was ahead of it's time
+ArcaneThingOfBeauty actually they stole it from some one that created in 1979 Gary Numan M.E.
+ArcaneThingOfBeauty Gary Numan was ahead of his time, these guys just sped it up and added shitty lyrics. look it up, the original is called M.E.
+Tommy Fargo its called sampling
This is personal I guess. I like Gary Numan but his version sounds like Duran Duran. This video in concept as a video made this song absolutely modern and smart.
I miss those happy, carefree times. I still vividly recall how my college friends and I watched Tomb Raider at the cinema on a Saturday after class; how I got a cool poster of Lara Croft afterwards and displayed it in my dorm room; and how this song (Tomb Raider OST) stuck like a brainworm afterwards.
That is generally what music video I expect from an electronic dance music band. Very cool. I like this.
This is such a timeless banger...
I'm 47 and this song ìs STILL awesome!!!
Any 2023 Listeners out here still listening to amazing music from Basement Jaxx?!?
2024 now
still in 24
2024
Never stopped listening lol!!
This song will never get old! 🔥🔥🔥The video is definitely perfect for the song.
Heard it in highschool back in 04 and then it took me 10 years to find it. This song still rocks after another 7 years.
Este debe ser uno de los mejores videoclips jamás creados en la historia de la música 👏
What a track. Britain really does produce some talent.
Loving these guys and also other various UK electronica based acts like
Faithless, Burial, Chemical Brothers, Groove Amada, Underworld, Unkle, Autectre,
Massive Attack, Leftfield, Stereo Mcs, The Streets, Goldie, Sleaford Mods, The Bug, AllFlaws
The Prodigy
So right, how did I miss them@@wplants9793
I never considered this before, but I think this is one of the top music videos ever made!! Very clever. The song is amazing too, of course!
something is seriously wrong with the internet how can this video only have 3 .6 million views?? where your head at??
...It's not on the radio (At least not where I live.), ...it does'nt get advertised like mainstream.
because it's 16 years old, this was mainstream in the UK when it came out.
their heads are in butt squats
@@wilaim8549 was always on in the clubs and pubs in New Zealand back in the day
Sept 2020 now up to 12.4 million views
This video is great. Period.

I recall shouting the lyrics of this song at my cousin’s first communion. The voice of an angel, they said.
My stepfather gave me this cd as his first gift to me to kinda break the ice. I was a young boy at the time, about 8 years old. I just knew the cd and the “ monkey cd “ it had basement jaxx first album art on it. I’ll never sell it nor give it away, it even irks me to explain what it is.
It’s one of those, if ya know, ya know, if not, then you don’t. And you don’t need to.
Rooty had such a special place in my heart that I couldn’t put it into words of if I tried. This album is the shit.
If you search this song by yourself you're a legend ☺️✨
Cool, thanks!
Thanks 😊
When you're skating in Andy's room and this song comes on:
Nah I remember it more from free roam in the city.
Fucking loved that game though.
Holy Christ, I love sharing nostalgia with complete strangers!!!!!
Yes yes yes
I liked skateboarding in the bathroom lol 😂
Well, with influences like this we never really stood a chance, did we?! Love you guys. Try to keep it together, yeah?!

*r/beatmetoit* also this whole video to me now, after only knowing the song for 17 years now but like the back of my hand from a Disney skateboarding game and finally seeing this Eldritch abomination, feels like; _"Meanwhile, in one of the United Kingdom's branches of the SCP Foundation...."_
