The 'talk box' is ALL guitar - not talking or singing. The guitar amp feeds a small driver in the box on the floor. That driver sends the guitar sound up through the tube. With the tube placed in the side of the mouth, the guitar sound is blasting into the players mouth. As with speaking, the shape of the mouth is what forms the sound of letters and words, so the guitar sound gets 'shaped' the same as sounds coming from the throat, but the player is NOT speaking at all. It is only the sound of the guitar that is then picked up by the vocal microphone the same as if the player was singing. So while the guitar is being used this way, the guitar speakers aren't doing anything. The sound the audience hears is entirely from the vocal mic picking up the sound in the players mouth. That's it.

Back in the 60s, feom the evidence ive seen and heard it was common for people in the UK to refer to Cream as "the Cream". Fyi
Audio could be better but pretty good doc im a big Gene Simmons fans from Kiss. Stern
I can't imagine what that level of fame must feel like. I'm sure along with it being absolutely great in some areas, there must be a lot of pressure as well. People deal with that pressure in many different ways, and a lot of it is self destructive, no doubt.
The solos were awful, but Ace’s guitar was fine. Then came the disco song. I was devastated. With the capes. And the feathers. One day I saw a picture of Paul in a halter top. I had to move to another town where no one knew me.
"The Cream" is correct. They dropped the "The" later, just like "The Pink Floyd" did

The African American stunt double kinda looks like a Planet of the Apes with Ace makeup on?

John KAY, not Jay. It's not his real German name though.
It drives me crazy when people pronounce his name like freely. The proper way is like frelly. Not fraylie - not freelie - Its Frelly. Ace said that himself in a interview so get it right already!
Nice video, and commentary! Why does your voice sound like you are drunk?
The school and crossbones? 👀 Kerosene= Keroseen.
Pretty disgraceful that you put Tommy Thayer in the beginning of the video.👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
6:30 It's "hanged" himself. Smarten up and read.
Not the greatest guitar player. Certainly the coolest...
