She says that arms are very important in La Sylphide and that they must be light and airy, with soft port de bras that match the movement of the breeze. She also explains that when she was first learning the role with Ninel Kurgapkina, she taught her that the Sylph's wrists indicate her emotional state. In her normal, happy state her hands are always upward, while when she's sad (like when James is getting married), her wrist is bent and her hand is pointing down.
Evgenia is BEAUTIFUL! But in this roll, I prefer Aurelie Dupont. But, I'd almost sell my soul to look like Evgenia. She's gorgeous! But, Aurelie's pretty lovely, too.
