Anthony did such a good job of explaining the technique. Wish more therapists would take this gentle, holistic approach. Thanks for sharing your experience LT ❤
Stumbled across this on my homepage. Best Alexander Technique video and explanation I've ever seen. I feel like I finally understand the overall idea behind it. Very relaxing as well.
I still don’t fully understand Alexander but have seen a bunch of films on it now and it’s fascinating and at the very least very relaxing and soothing

All Alexander technique videos are relaxing. ;) Do you know the Alexander Technique video by Diana Dewitt-Dawson? It's the godmother of AT-videos. Super relaxing! :D
Laura, I just wanted to say... Iv been watching Anthony's youtube for years and I have to say I love this video so much. Im not sure if its your video per say, but its so relaxing and cozy. I hope you film your next lesson if you have one.
I noticed in the other videos that sound when you're putting your hands under their back and flattening it is just ASMR heaven. I know it doesn't mean much to use a teacher but it is glorious. Great video
@Laura Try - It's interesting that this video triggers ASMR for some people as an unexpected side-effect. Have you considered trying that on your channel?
I absolutely love the alexander technique videos. It shows that no matter how bad any particular industry or economy gets, I can invent a paycheck out of sheer nothing. It's right up there with reiki healing and magic rocks.
I’m a reiki attuned nurse- I don’t charge for my special contribution to healing , but the results are reinforcing of the value of Reiki . Just had introductory experience with Alexander Technique - seeking more info because the results were astounding . Pity you aren’t aware of the high cost of western biomedicine and the adverse effects of “ belief” despite unsatisfactory results - up to and including death. .
@@TheHighwinder that’s your perception. Have you experienced Reiki ? I’m a nurse- my practice of nursing is evidence based. Great video. Both at showing an introductory session and Laura your insightful quesions to explore more about the deep understanding of Alexander technique. Also that teachers aren't thinking about their posture all the time, or at least not when playing football with their children.
I find this fascinating, particularly the reference to taking the calm peaceful, surrendered state into everyday life, not just during meditation, without introducing any tension into the body. Interestingly this is only properly described in the full video. I am interested - how have you got on with carrying the state you discovered in the session, into your everyday life Laura? Thankyou so much for your time in sharing this information 🥰
Hi Nicola, I frequently check in with myself throughout the day, asking myself "am I Alexander-ed?" - it's continuing to help me and I believe that with daily practice it will become a habit for me to live with more ease in day-to-day life. This is a lesson that will stay with me for the rest of my life 🌟
Relaxation exercise? Sure. A Godfather of ASMR. Perhaps affirmatively for many. However, the wreak of pedantic silliness I unintentionally detect through the -explanation- and purpose of his actions paint my status in an almost immediate fatigued gripe. Strange.

check out Anthony’s channel.
Hi Laura. I really enjoyed the summary video and this full length video. Thanks
I still don’t fully understand Alexander but have seen a bunch of films on it now and it’s fascinating and at the very least very relaxing and soothing
I don't know what the therapeutic value of the Alexander technique really is. However, for ASMR, it's very relaxing.
I think its meant to help Injured people walk properly again.

I've watched many videos and still don't understand it
Anthony has his own channel. A wonderful teacher.
I know it wasn’t the intention but oh my goodness this video is so amazingly relaxing 😌
Asmr like... And very relaxing.

Let the neck be free, apologies for my sandwich breath, amd have a wonderful response
And pick up a navy suit for war
I just love how we all know these ASMR genre inside jokes. No matter what ASMR/ unintentional ASMR video i watch, it's always mentioned xD
"That's marvelous, thank you"
Backstreet's back, alright
Square, like a good field.
Not triangular
He's right about people being addicted to staying busy. That's why I like the IINDM, the international institute of not doing much.
This is a great ASMR video once it switches from the camera mic to his lavalier mic.
omg didn't expect to see the legend here

Well if people feel good at the end of each session, then it's worth the price.

THanks for sharing, learnt a lot and tempted to go and experience for myself. This version would get more views on your main channel tho for sure.

thanks 4 this!
@laura how much was the lesson?
When I visit England, I'm going to this guy (if that's where he is)
Correct
Golders green
I use to thrash my head about when speaking ( like TV reporter s tend to do )_ my Alexander Teacher pointed it out and I soon stopped it
Wow
Fantastic
It should be effort less

i like sex
No. Not in my old way
This is very sexual actually... Because it's about giving up control and controlling someone else to pleasure.
And gripping the neck too, i bet he is in a swingers club
True, the experience is pleasurable - but not at all sexual. - it’s the pleasure of being comfortable in one’s own skin - one’s own body. Amazing !
