Lovely collection of items; I have now pinned most of papercut's website. I'm in love with that Mirri jumpsuit especially. The bias can smell fear got me. Love to puppy.
Thank you so much! I know Papercut has such good things 🤩 and the Miri looks amazing. I also had a good experience so far with their patterns instructions
Noémie, I'm a new viewer and subscriber from Washington State, US. You do such a fantastic job describing items as a 'regular' (not model) would wear them. As a 56 year old newer sewist I really appreciate that! I was thinking about that gorgeous slip dress and you being a little uncomfortable wearing it out. I think it would make a lovely nightie and that would give you time to test drive it at home. :) I think you are simply lovely and can't wait to watch more of your content. Merci! xx
Thank you so much, so glad to have you on the channel. I hope you found some inspiration for future sewing ☺️ I'm 100% team PJs, so I wouldn't have the use for the slip dress, but maybe for a fancy occasion, who knows? 👀
I actually made the Kielo wrap dress for a wedding earlier this year! I feel like it's a shape that suits everyone so well. It was super comfortable - I just made it with long sleeves and a fabric that was too warm (I mean it was a wedding in the UK in April after all), but the weather was amazing, and it ended up being too warm 😅 Bonus points was that I found a perfectly matching fabric to their theme, so I was spot on with that!
Oh the satisfaction of finding the perfect, in theme fabric, well done! So hard to sew for an April wedding, the weather is such a gamble. I hope you got to brag a ton about your me-made though 😉
Still need to find the fabric, but working on it! (Now I also want to sew a Lockhart, too many patterns, so little time.) Can I also sew the whole catalog from Papercut? 😄
My daughter-in-law wore a floral jumpsuit to her own wedding (it was relatively informal), & looked so elegant. It was a fairly dark print, & I think that helped it look more formal than your average sundress or playsuit. Also, she is a dancer, &, of course, the fabric has less impact in a smaller size. But your floral fabric is gorgeous, & will look lovely in a dress or jumpsuit. I agree with you about plain colours. They can look more elegant, but they show every mark, & aren't as much fun. Thankyou so much for featuring all these beautiful designs. I am short & fat, & I'm very tempted by the Kielo dress & the Tide dress. I don't have any weddings to go to, but I won't let that stop me! Best wishes from Czechia!
Yes, I think some florals could definitely work for the jumpsuit. I had found the perfect one, but they had only 50cm left at the fabric store (nooooooo!!!!) The one I'm considering for the dress is a bit over the top for the jumpsuit, I think, but I don't despair to find the right fabric! (Floral jumpsuit to get married in, that sounds amazing!!)
@@LaFraiseSews I added a thankyou to my original comment, but just in case you missed it, thankyou for all the trouble you went to, finding these lovely designs!
@@fikanera838 Thank you for letting me know. I went back to check the end of the comment. The Kielo is beautiful on everyone so you're right that not having any wedding planned shouldn't stop you! Sounds like your daughter-in-law and I would get along quite well, the dancers in floral jumpsuits 😃
I know what you mean about a floral jumpsuit being a bit 'much'. I have been wanting to make the Deer & Doe Scirocco jumpsuit for ages (and I love floral fabrics) but haven't found exactly what I want that has some detail but not over the top! I also love Papercut Patterns. I made the Palisade trousers and am going to make the Pinnacle top at some point which looks like a really fun sew. However I have got distracted, I saw a top on the Eglantine & Zoe site in the new Roc fabric. A simple top with the front cut into four with each stripe pattern on a different orientation (rubbish explanation but if you look you will see what I mean). So I bought some abstract stripey fabric and am going to make that once it arrives. Very enjoyable video though and such pretty dresses. Oh and I love that you love the Sewing Bee.
The Sirocco looks soooooo nice! The top with the panels cut in different direction is super cool. I see I have found my master for getting distracted by new shiny projects 😄
I have a total of 0 weddings on the horizon but I'd love any of these dresses in my wardrobe. Thanks for reaching out about the Lockhart dress! It's new to me and I just love it so will definitely use that voucher 😊. There's some fabric in my stash that would be perfect! (It gets bonus points in my eyes too for the Harry Potter reference).
Yes, you don't need a wedding to make yourself a gorgeous outfit! (OMG, imagine a Lockhart in a Gilderoy Lockhart inspired fabric, that would be next level)
All of these are GREAT suggestions, thank you! 😁
@@cosmicpolitan thank you, I hope you sew something nice for yourself ☺️

I really appreciate how you talk about coverage for people who prefer dressing conservatively. Thank you for mentioning that!
