- In this talk titled "Imagine" by Fariborz Sahba given at the Grand Canyon Baha'i Conference (Phoenix, USA) in December, 2016, Fariborz Sahba explores the power of the imagination, of being visionary during times of difficulty, of spiritual distinction and beauty.
Fariborz Sahba was born in Iran. At the age of 21 he established Varqa International Children's Magazine which continued for more than 20 years and was published in 9 languages. At only 28 years of age, he designed the Baha’i House of Worship in New Delhi, India (commonly called the Lotus Temple). He also designed the 19 terraces surrounding the Shrine of the Bab, which have been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He was the Project Manager during the construction of the buildings of the Arc on Mount Carmel and designed the pilgrim and information centre complex in Bahji.
We'd like to thank the organizing committee of the Grand Canyon Baha'i Conference and Fariborz Sahba for granting us permission to share this talk with you, and you can find out more about this annual conference here on their website (grandcanyonbaha..., or from this Baha'i Blog article about the conference: bahaiblog.net/s....

What a great visioner. 🌞✨♨️
Ya Baha'u'l Abha❤
All during my early years I was told I was dreamer, unrealistic! I loved fairy stories and read them all the time; my mother despaired as she felt I needed to transit to older more mature books. At Sunday school in church, I was inspired by a painting of Jesus with His arms outstretched, beneath which all the world's children in their national dress, were gathered together, I yearned to be one of those children! And so eventually I was led to the community of Abha! Children should be encouraged to dream, to envision the impossible. Out of which are born scientists, educators, discoverers.
So wonderful to hear! Thank you for sharing! :)
Cheers to the DREAMERS!
How I got here: I was reading "Keeper of Genesis" by Graham Hancock & Robert Bauval. It caused me to go to google maps hovering over the Giza, then I noticed an area called "New Giza". I zoomed in and saw beautiful architectural development. Zoomed back out far far, saw "Haifa" . I remembered that my first midwife's name was Haifa. So, curiously I clicked on it and saw the architecture. I was so curious who designed such beauty! My mind was dancing on the attention to detail and the soundness of the design. It looked like paradise. So, I was led to Fariborz Sahba and then here. I was very moved by his speech. It rang and resonated deeply within me. Thank you. It has helped to see the light. ...and technology is one powerful tool. From a book to satellite google earth, to this man and message of life itself. Mind.blown).
Awesome!! Thanks so much for sharing!! :)
