It's demon sword after all, so it made sense that the mommy wanted Miyabi to use weapon other than sword. Maybe the mommy let Miyabi stabbed her to death because it was the requirement to completely awaken the demon sword's power. The mommy even said: "This is the only way." when they were surrounded by Ethereals.

But the mother stabbed herself and the little girl was jerked forward - it's not that she actively carried out the thrust. Instead, she was pulled towards her mother because she stabbed the sword into her own body with her last remaining strength. And according to information from the developers, the sword can only be unlocked and unsheathed with more to fingerprint so I don't think that's any kind of ritual in the sense that it's probably the DNA that's already entered the sword through her tears when the tears touched the sword. And the fact that they have continued to train their daughter is probably due to clan behavior. If they didn't, they would probably cause quite a bit of conflict with the clan as it is very likely that the parents are expected to train little Miyabi in battle, judging by the comments made when she grabbed the wooden sword. In addition, the Japanese (Miyabi or her clan is clearly based on Japanese culture) mentality reflects never to harm the community and to take oneself back for the community. Of course, this doesn't change the situation for the little girl herself - in her eyes she killed her mother, but on the other hand her mother saved her life because on the one hand she gave her the motivation to fight and survive and on the other hand she herself would have become a danger to her daughter at some point and she might have hesitated to attack her mother even in a transformed form.

The sentence refers to the fact that the little girl can survive if she uses this sword in connection with the events of her mother's death, which cause a certain depressing and sad motivation in the little girl, which you can see in retrospect. And well, as I said, the reactions from the sword start even before the mother stabs herself with it, the glow comes exactly at the moment after the little girl's tears have touched the sword.
We will never get used to it no matter how many times we watch. It is too sad and tragic, really, the song will make us cry too even if that scene alone didn't do the job I seriously didn't expect it to make me this emotional

Miyabi was super strong even since childhood it seems. She just casually tosses the wooden sword and it is broken on the grass when she is distracted by butterfly. Then mom just hands her a massive hammer when she reached out for small sword. Considering every weapon is oversized even for adults and sword is Miyabi sized clan probably picked it out for her to prepare for demonsword but mom gives her every other weapon first. But baby Miyabi is so powerful she can train with them no problem. Also a bit obvious but Miyabi constantly doing mundane things and calling them training is because how mom excused her sheltering by calling everything training while keeping her from training with the sword.
I didn't notice that part about handing all the different weapons whenever Miyabi reached out for the sword, her mom really wanted to keep her away from the sword and live peacefully oh wow you are right about that, she does call everything training! so this is where she got it from!! 😲 the more I learn about her the more I love her she deservers to be happy! 🥹 thank you for pointing out these things to me

I love how the community just accepted that she is Vergils Daughter from the Devil May Cry series, and then this came out and people are like "yeah, that's his backstory retold. This is definitely his kid..." The sheer amount of art ive been seeing of Miyabi , 90% of it isnt even horny... its just Vergil poses or redraws of her sitting in his infamous plastic chair LMAO
Her mom tried her best to keep swords away from her but the first time she had to hold one it was her mom who was the first blood and the bad guys she destroyed were most likely her other corrupted family members.

Everybody who gets into cavern and stays there for long gets corrupted and becomes etherial. That's why human enemies in cavern wear protective suits. Also some people have a stronger resistance to corruption.
Oh yes, you are right, that's why in the stories, they always say to people in the hollow not to stay there for too long. So this is what happens! I only saw it happening to that leader. I still can't remember his name, but he got turned into an ethereal during the sons of calydon arc.

Since tge family has a legacy of the demon sword which I think houses souls that houses the regrets of the victims or something along those lines (I'm not caught up on the story) and she had a strong attraction of the sword in general it makes sense why her mither would attempt to shelter her.
