Typical Disney trying to rewrite lore, how much you wanna bet they attempt to turn Scar into a sympathetic villian who wasn't truly at fault. Creatively bankrupt, Lion King not even my favourite Disney movie.

The reason many people believe that Disney stole the idea from this anime is that there are many clips from “Kimba the White Lion” that are very similar to The Lion King. However, these clips are not from the original anime but from a movie called “Jungle Emperor Leo,” which came out in 1997, whereas The Lion King was released in 1994. I truly believe Rafiki is the embodiment between the circle of life and the eternal, blessed as high counsellor with each Lion King or Queen he serves, and is telling Mufasa's grandcub the legend of their grandfather.
I think they may have re written canon for the purpose of the movie as I'm not certain it was Mufasa who was the orphan in the original story. It will make for good viewing in a lot of ways, just not the arch I hoped for.

In a pride of lions, what the males and females do can be melded together at times. The lionesses are the main ones who hunt for the pride to have food while the males patrol their territory and guards the pride from rivals and other threats. That said, lionesses can and have and sometimes do protect the pride especially their cubs from threats and have driven off males outside of the pride and male lions do get involved in hunts sometimes especially if the target is much larger prey like cape buffalo, giraffes, and sometimes (though extremely rare) they'll go after elephants. Females and males are both needed in the pride.
Disney going back to that 💰 🐄 for some more milk in my opinion… it’s a great premise at least.

@@JodysCornerI think Mufasa’s story wouldn’t make sense, because if Mufasa and Scar are not biological brothers, they wouldn’t affect each other’s throne. Also if Mufasa and Scar are not really siblings, they don’t have reasons to live in the same pride.
