I just wondered, why Rovaniemi did not make to this list. The Christmas season is by far the biggest tourist invasion there. It is locared at the arctic circle and unlike many of those cities, which were mentioned in this list, in Rovaniemi area the Christmas is always white.

I live about 2 hours away from Leavenworth Washington. It is absolutely a magical place to go for Christmas. As soon as you enter Leavenworth, you feel as if you entered another country.

I go on trips to European Christmas markets especially Germany and it’s so enjoyable ... one year a friend and I decided we wouldn’t buy any more items and concentrated on bringing home Christmas mugs from every town ( you pay for the gluhwein and pay extra for the clay mug which was elaborately decorated and had the year and town name) and that year I came home heavy with thirteen mugs from 13 towns !

I just wondered, why Rovaniemi did not make to this list. The Christmas season is by far the biggest tourist invasion there. It is locared at the arctic circle and unlike many of those cities, which were mentioned in this list, in Rovaniemi area the Christmas is always white.

I wont exchange the spirit of Christmas here in the PH to those places.. we dont have snow, very tall and big christmas trees, we dont have those kind of christmas lights, and we dont have Santa Claus.. BUT, the spirit of Christmas is the only thing we have, to be with your family, friends and love ones is the precious thing we could have during Christmas..
