GE made our range over 22 years ago. You, kind sir, allowed it to live another day. Thank you so much for this perfect, step by step, video, guiding me through from start to finish. It was as effortless as you presented it. Not a single mishap.
You're welcome!
Thanks, Simon - you videos are easy to follow, easy to understand and I have fixed oven and fridge thanks to your videos!
Thanks for the video. I need to clean in between the two glass panels and didn’t know how to remove it.
This video was a lifesaver. Thank you!
The window pack unit has vents on both of the short sides and on one of the long sides. When you take out the old widow pack unit the vents are on the top, when you put in the new unit you place it in with vents on the bottom. Which is correct, or does it matter?
Did you ever get an answer? I have the same question too. Also I think in the GE parts schematic:
1) on the GE parts diagram, the open vents face upward, and the solid side of the frame faces downward. hope that helps.
2) Part #131 in the schematic seems to be missing from this video. This is the range oven gasket which goes around the outside of the frame. Seems this video doesnt mention it (GE Part WB04T10002)
I followed these instructions but I can’t get the door back on. Apparently that little metal hinge part that is pushed out with the screwdriver, is also holding the door hinge in a partially open position under high tension. For me the hinge is in the fully closed position and no amount of pressure I apply will get it into the mounting slots on the front of the stove. So now what do I do?
