Poor lumi tbh, I've loved her content from the silent symmetra tips and tricks videos and she's genuinely a good player and teaches well.

Im a teacher on a academy, due that I have a lot of kids who actually need help to pass. I have kids with who constructive and understanding, being "soft" helps. But I also have a LOT of kids who needs me to be harsh, contact parents, etc
That's cause they think they always have the reason, do not need anyone and "everything will be fine".

personally, i think that some people really took it the wrong way. lumi's vod reviews are MEANT to be somewhat strict and harsh since she's trying to help you correct your mistakes. (and no im not throwing shade to anyone) but as lumi said, people who send their vod reviews to her KNOWS that lumi will somehow be harsh and strict towards them and lumi even asked if they would like her to be nice or mean. and also props to you for implementing the "no backseat gaming" rule in your vod reviews, its a really great move. anyways love yall and stay safe out there :heart:

Thank you for this clarity on the situation, I saw both sides of the story. Though, I am definitely going to say that Lumi has been a mature woman and approached it in the best way. Being cut and dry. The respect I have is through the roof and I think we can all appreciate the valid point of Lumi knowing her stream better than anyone in a comment section. Soo main thing, ult immediately people caught out if my rotation of spells can't kill, and really see who I put my black shield on in team fights (would have 1000% put my shield on me instead of the aatrox late game and flashed out.)

The thing is, I saw quite a few comments on your previous video saying that the chats comments [while you were reviewing the VOD] were unnecessary and toxic. Not many were saying that your criticism and tips were uncalled for/mean. In fact, I saw you respond to two comments and started to defend yourself when the heat was directed towards the chat. When I scrolled down where they said they liked your criticism but not the chats "mean comments." Of course, if the person who's VOD is getting reviewed is okay with the chat making jokes, being "mean" then that's their decision. Again, the majority of people in the comments [From what I saw] from the previous video were having an issue with the chat, not you Lumi.

I’ve been watching Lumi’s streams for awhile now and I have watched the time when she did Morgana vod reviews and the chat had the same energy back then. People tend to forget that Lumi now averages 600-700 viewers on stream and not everyone is going to sit there watching a vod and looking cute, this is how everyone interacts with each other when they watch a vod

Here's the thing, from what I saw in the last video, the majority of the comments weren't having an issue with Lumi's criticism. They were having an issue with the chat. In fact, there were some comments saying exactly that and Lumi for some reason started to defend herself in response to some comments when the heat was towards the chat, not her.
@@kat8552 I was there in the first 5 hours of the release of the video. There were comments criticizing Lumi's decision to be mean. The thing is though, even if the chat was toxic, the person who submitted the VOD knew what they signed up for when they chose to ask Lumi for a live *mean* critique for their VOD in front of *300* people. People in the chat laughed about Lumi's frustration on the VOD rather than the person who submitted the VOD.

Thank you for this series, its actually a better way for us newbies to learn because you point out the mistakes and how to correct it. Yes you can learn by watching pro players play but most of the time they wont explain why they do certain stuff because it already comes naturally for them, and for them its a common sense, but for newbies, things like where to ward, how to position, map awareness, how to build according to the enemy team composition, etc are still foreign to us. Most of the time i have no idea what i do wrong and where can i improve, but now I can observe the fundamental things that needed to be improved.

I don’t understand why people think she’s being mean anyways, like she speaks in a tone that you literally can barely take seriously. She’s being realistic and she’s being entertaining because she’s an ENTERTAINER. These will forever be my favorite Lumi vids

Every professional coach gets called "mean" for how they have to say certain things, at the end of the day its a video game and reading each others gameplay the hauz down in a light-hearted way is what makes it fun.
Tbh after watching lumi playing soraka in rank, i learn a lot. I try it on rank too, then as of now i think i have 7 rank game on soraka and 5 of the game is winnable, while the 2 is not, i know that i'm not the problem like i have 2-3-18 then the other is like feed. You can learn a lot if you listen carefully in luminum. She's a queen.

I don't respond well to mean criticism however they picked mean lumi. The person also seemed to be laughing along with chat too but I am not sure as I don't know them. I hope they don't think that chat was being toxic to them because it was just good content and we all mess up sometimes, it can be a learning moment and a funny moment.
