Love the color scheme. Would love a detailed video on components and overall weight. I feel like aero bikes are the new climbing bikes on all but the steepest of gradients.
@@iMadrid11 Another YT channel, B is for Build, was rebuilding a Ford Mustang to look like Eleanor from the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds". The trademark holder for Eleanor sent a cease-and-desist letter, confiscated the car(!), and had all related videos removed from youtube. Not so fine.
Phil, the KOM for Torrey Pines down in San Diego maybe perfect for that bike. Average gradient 5%, someone sniped the KOM off of you by 3 seconds putting you in second place but I think this bike would be perfect for that climb.
$$$$$$$$$ - Phil runs what he gets paid to run. Remember, shortly ago he had a power meter that used bags of water for a zero offset. Then he had SRAM for a minute, and now it's on to the next step. I don't blame him one bit. These videos aren't free to make and living isn't free.
@@jjwa5410 completely agree, everything he says is fake when it comes to equipment coz he only wants sponsors and I do think he could be a bit more transparent but doesn’t matter to me coz I’m not buying any of it
I am having a dejavu, I remember quite clearly Phil being very excited about Nove Bikes and the custom paint job on the bike, what happened to that partnership? Kind of strange, the bike suddenly was gone and never mentioned again.
Possibly because the industry can't build reliable Carbon clincher rims so they're pushing tubeless that run lower pressures and don't melt on a long descent. Put the brake on the hub and you solve a bunch of issues.... That's my guess.....
@@breathestrongcycling3672 if someone is melting carbon rims, they have no business riding them in the first place. That same person would most definitely warp disks and glaze pads on descends.
@MRGRUMPY53 Lucky me the roads or trails are smooth no imperfections at all make for great fast rides, I am from Orlando Florida, no cold, no winter, the sunshine state hmm 🤔
Just Imagine living in his neighborhood and seeing these kom‘s you just wont be able to beat... like ever.
Bike looks great Phil!
Nice bike! Summer is going to be hell this year, Phil. 102 F on my ride to Pasadena yesterday. IT’S ONLY MAY...
12 degrees Celsius in London
Seriously nice paintwork! I loved the Cookie Monster at the front, ready to devour all challenges.
Sick paintings😁👏👏
Love the paint, sweet.
Sweet bike. Looks perfect for taking back the Mt.Lemmon KOM!
... or a revisit of the very first Worst Retirement Ever episode on Palomar Mountain! Only 16 seconds, Phil!!! Jus' sayin'!!!!!
damn, I was stoked about the shifter button-garage door opener integration. You should patent it, stat!

John Slawta, Dario Pegoretti Ciavete, Richard Sachs...enjoy the blog...great work with the charity...
Congrats on the new bike, phil. Absolutely love it, particularly the cookie monster on the head tube.
Wow so cool! First disc brake bike I actually like!
Bike is WORTHY!
I have the extra buttons programmed for shifting up and down the cassette
Cant wait for the cease and desist letter from Jim Henson company
Yeah, you probably should refer to it only as the Cookie Bike especially in anything searchable.
It’s fine. As long as you don’t go out selling Cookie Monster bikes.

Amazing bike!
I use my extra Di2 buttons for paging thru my Garmin and controlling my lights.

The garage door opener would be cool and useful.
The ‘button-noise’ is mildly addictive. More button-noise please Phil. Enjoy new bike fun mate.
Awesome bike, Phil! It looks like a ton of fun with the new paint. How would you compare it to the vam 02?
May I ask do you think that this bike can be build under 7kg with red and black inc 45?
Beautiful bike Phil!!! All the best with it!! Hope you don’t have any complaints with it like Froom had..... ie disc breaks 😜😂
THE BEST HEAD TUBE EVER!
Would a fanny pack be more aero than the cookie bag? :)
That bike is fire!
It’s missing a custom Goggly 👀 on the head badge.
Chocolate chip sweet, pulled a nice one out of the cookie jar Phil.
weir everywhere, nice profile pic.
Wish they matched the seatpost though 😢
What a great dude
Factor: Spends time in wind tunnel making the bike more aero
Phil: Check out my handle bar bag!
what sunglasses are these?
You could put electric down tube shifters on your bike! 🤯
is the cookie bag made by Road Runner or Skin Grows Back?
It’s orucase!
@@worstretirementever ah! I don't know why but when I read your list of gear, that didn't register. Thanks for the tip!
Sprint shifters to open your garage...? I bet that could be done (with a little extra hardware) 🤔
If it doesn’t add grams I’m in!
yes, it is.
Ride for 🍪
What happened to nove? That bike looked sick
Thinking of making a video about this

@1:10....the bricks make it look like your rear wheel has two valves
Nice 👍
Phil, what is that frame color? Is it avail stock or just custom?
I hope that is irony 😂
No ISM saddle?
You could program that button to be txt your wife " I'm on my way home now" to respond to her txt when you're a 4hr ride
Haha or your buddy. “I’m ten minutes away” when you haven’t left yet

Valves aren't lined up. Unsubscribed.
3:15 nice thigh gap
Why are companies and media pushing disk brakes so much? It's not like it's an upgrade over rim #savetherimbrake
