@@SavantAudiosurf To my knowledge, Lofi Girl does partner with the song creators when using their music. They don’t just find random lofi from creators they don’t communicate with and use it in the stream. If you check their community posts, they work with the creators to upload compilations of individual albums and EPs, and then they use _those_ in the stream. If they didn’t have the legal right to do so, why would they announce that creators can use the music on the channels? Why would they have an entire page on the website dedicated on how to use the songs legally? Why would the creators constantly comment words of thanks in the comments? That’s why you’ll see repeats of songs and artists in the streams, because those are artists that work with Lofi Girl.
If this was really something they didn’t have the right to do, why did it take 20,000 hours of music, well over two years, for this to happen? Before this, there was a first stream too that was taken down by copyright claims, causing the entire channel to be taken down. However, after reaching out to UA-cam, they determined that the channel was fine and reinstated _all_ of the videos. Why would they have done that if they didn’t have proper licensing, especially with how strict UA-cam copyright can be?
Of course, I don’t work with any of the artists or with Lofi Girl, so if you have any more information that I’m missing, please teach me more about the subject.
It’s been three years, and this video still hasn’t been processed. Lofi girl studies so much, UA-cam cant even handle it.

Checklist:
• A bottle of water, at least 1liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧
• Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋
• Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧
• a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕
• Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨
•Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈
Reminder: After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me.
You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book. 📖

Edit: it is now September 12th and it is still processing. I'm curious to see if it really does finish within the next month or two. If not, then either it's a really high quality video, UA-cam put it on the higher end of processing time, or they aren't actually processing it. Time will tell!
Edit 2: it is February of 2024 and uh maybe i was a little off with the math... BUT if we go with the high end of the processing time math with 45 minutes then it should be done by June of this year! (I am coping rn). Also every time you say what day it is it notifies me and acts as a constant reminder of my hubris. :)

She was studying for about 2.3 years. Definitly earned this break but hopefully she comes back to study for us again soon. Just came back to talk about my memories with this 24/7 radio stream. Used to bump this almost every night back in highschool 3 years ago. Channel was still called ChilledCow! Absolutely nuts, made a whole playlist on both UA-cam and Spotify just based on stuff I would hear from here. Some beats were lost to time, some weren't; but damn, scrolling through the live chat during those long homework sessions was so much fun. May the next 3 straight years and beyond on the new streams be just as impactful as this stream was.

Considering this happened a little over a year ago, UA-cam has started processing the moment the stream had been terminated.
Since on average it could take 30 seconds to a couple of minutes per video not accounting for good compression due to lack of movement in the video, it might take another year to maybe 2-3 years from now before the video is watchable, assuming the video is being processed.
This stream went on for 20,843 hours. That’s almost 870 days, or over 2 years of hip hop beats to relax/study to.
