Jonah in Wolf of Wall Street is one of THE funniest performances I've seen in my life. When you're in the same film as Leo DiCaprio, and you're the most memorable part of that film, you are doing something right.
I always considered Jonah Hill to be one of the greatest actors of all time, my mom never understood since she didn’t see too many Jonah Hill films. Then we saw Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot and my mom turned to me and said now she gets it. He’s one of the few actors who no matter if it’s comedy or drama can pay attention to detail so well. Not only understand the assignment but ace it. He’s an ultimate chameleon
Yes! Was hoping someone would mention his role in this film. I heard Jonah Hill was also proud of his role in Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot -- and also realized that most folks haven't heard of it. If you're reading this, do yourself a FAVOR and watch it. It is entirely relatable whether you drink an ounce of alcohol or not -- it goes deep into parts of ourselves we numb out and ignore. Based on a True Story!
Jonah really comes off the exact way he portrays himself in "this is the end" ... Obviously, the actors in that movie were playing themselves but Jonah definitely nailed it lol
@@michellemuskeyn329 No, because Superbad came before The Wolf of Wall Street. The reason they didn't have it at the end is because he's doing a press run for Mid90s. So they end with Mid90s so he can promote it and its what's on our minds when the video ends.
i absolutely love mid90s, had no idea hill directed it. that and his performance in war dogs, you people and WOWS makes me realise how much range this guy has. respect
Jonah looks great here! He’s always been a favorite of mine because he’s so funny in an offbeat subtle sort of way. He’s got this underlying intelligence and awareness while at the same time being so hilarious just through an expression on his face or the way he says something. His role in Cyrus was priceless and a perfect role that highlights the skills of Jonah Hill. He’s also an another example of how comedic people are often able to do serious roles whereas the opposite is not often the case (further proof that to do comedy well takes serious talent and emotional depth as well). Jonah is also one of the all time best guests on talk shows like on Conan especially. His interview on Conan and Channing Tatum is laugh out loud hilarious.
I love his subdued modesty so much for some reason, he just feels very authentically honest in interviews. Especially for an academy award nominated actor who just recently made his directorial debut; every actor wants to be a filmmaker and when they accomplish that they often become very self righteous and will develop a sort of narcissistic air that shows ugly in candid interviews. Jonah appears genuinely down to earth and I like that in my comedic actors. Self-deprecating humor is usually the best kind of humor.
Right. I live in Japan now and recently went back in my past hunting down old American comedies i grew up on and unsurprisingly enough that movie was no where to be found here but I found superbad and this is the end and a bunch of others in the same vein. That is my adolescence all those 2000s comedies its a trip watching them again and with the view of people who grew up totally different.

Jonah in Wolf of Wall Street is one of THE funniest performances I've seen in my life. When you're in the same film as Leo DiCaprio, and you're the most memorable part of that film, you are doing something right.
No 40 yr old Virgin? I wanted to hear “ I just really wanted to buy these skates and you’re making it difficult”
Yeah but its too small of a part.
*shoes
Its shoes.. and if you watch the Seth Rogan one of these he talks about that scene
What about grandmas boy?
pretty sure it was his first part
I know it’s not an “on-screen” role but I would have loved if he talked about mega mind .
Jonah deserves so much more he’s so handsome 🥺
Mid90s really opened my mind on Jonah. This man is a genius
if only robin williams was here to do one of these.

I love that Jonah spent the entirety of the interview praising the cast and crew lmao
I never laughed so hard at a movie like 21 Jump Street. I laughed till I cried. It's the best!
This makes me love Jonah so much more. I have even more respect for him now!
22 is hilarious😂
He's one of the most genuine humble people I've ever seen. He's also very talented.
No talks on, Get Him To The Greek? I actually liked that one alot
Brian Double U yeah, or moneyball? Both good flicks.
@@ginrummy20 yes yes
And I know he wasn't a lead, but he is hilarious on Forgetting Sarah Marshall
O yeah what gives.
It was funny because of Russell Brand.
How TF is Moneyball not included in here. It's where he got his first nomination... Smh
Jonah really comes off the exact way he portrays himself in "this is the end" ... Obviously, the actors in that movie were playing themselves but Jonah definitely nailed it lol
He’s a legend man. We grew up on Superbad, all time classic.
Also really liked War Dogs actually
OG's will remember his role in Grandma's Boy...

@@michellemuskeyn329 No, because Superbad came before The Wolf of Wall Street.
The reason they didn't have it at the end is because he's doing a press run for Mid90s. So they end with Mid90s so he can promote it and its what's on our minds when the video ends.
That’s stupid
Jonah has become one of my favorite actors ever. I hope I get to meet him one day.

That show was so bad.
MrNiceGuy Just because you didn’t understand it doesn’t mean it was bad.
I loved Maniac so much... so weird and so compelling at the same time. I was reminded of Gilliam's Brazil, amongst a host of other influences.
Me to his best role
Kinda upset he didn't talk about Maniac
Oh. Came here for maniac
not iconic
Tarell Bellamy he hasn't talked about Maniac at all
Shits trash
Honestly, it was more Emma's show. Kinda felt bad for him tbh. Her roles/characters were way better...
CYRUS! I completely forgot about that film, it is so good!
This guy is a class act. Love his vibe and outlook on life.
I wish he talked about "Accepted!" Such an underrated film!
@@MACMETALFACE still as good as you remember (*nostalgic face*) all these years later?
Just checked. Crazy superbad (2007) was his breakout role while accepted (2006) is forgotten.
