Amay De Maa Tabildari (আমায় দে মা তবিলদারি)

Sadhak Ramprasad Sen was appointed as a book keeper at Zaminder Durgacharan Mitra's office in Kolkata. Oneday the head accountant complained against Ramprasad that he has written songs on official documents. Hearing this Zaminder got furious and fired Ramprasad.
Before taking final decession on Ramprsad's job he though he should check the book, what he has written exactly. Putting his spectacles on his nose he bent to look closely the pages of account books. He went on turning pages after pages of books. On one hand the flow of account of income-expense going on and in parallel there is Sree Durga naam flowing repeatedly written in red ink. Accounts of worldly things and spiritual account are going hand in hand. In some pages where there is larger empty space after ending one account, he has written his own poem. Zaminder was fascinated on one such poem and asked to sing. Hearing that besutiful Shyama Sangeet Zaminder feel sorry and realised Ramprasad from the job to do more penance. He ensure that Ramprasad will get full salary each month till he is alive. The song was:
"আমায় দে মা তবিলদারি
আমি নিমকহারাম নই শঙ্করি
পদ রত্ন ভান্ডার সবাই লুটে, ইহা আমি সইতে নারি
ভাঁড়ার জিম্মা যার কাছে মা সে যে ভোলা ত্রিপুরারী
শিব আশুতোষ স্বভাব দাতা, তবু জিম্মা রাখো তারি
অর্ধ অঙ্গ জাইগির মাগো তবু শিবের মাইনে ভারী
আমি বিনা মাইনের চাকর শুধু চরণ ধুলার অধিকারী
প্রসাদ বলে এমন পদের বালাই লয়ে আমি মরি
ও মা পদের মত পদ যদি পাই সে পদ লয়ে বিপদ সারি"

Prasad (Ramprasad) says, responsibility of worldly position is irritating him,
If he gets some place at the feet of divine, he can end the danger of his present worldly place.
