Kbshimmer is a relatively cheap option for nail polish thinner. Ive had a bottle for over a year and its still over half full. But I also have a lot of nail polish and change my manicures about once a week or more so it might last way longer for most people

Would nail polish thinner also work for, say, a base coat or top coat? My top coat has gotten a bit gloopy and I was hoping I could restore it. Will the thinner affect the "quick dry" effect of the top coat?

I use Seche Restore thinner for my QDTCs. It's specifically made for them.

You can get thinner specifically for gel polish. I got one from Sally years ago. Just make sure it says "gel polish thinner" and read the directions for the cure time.

I find that glitter wont get thinner without the acetone. Maybe I need to put a LOT of thinner?

No. Remover will destroy your polish. Thinner is what you need for those two bottles, like it or not.

tbh, remover maybe isn‘t the best for a perfect look (and maybe not usable on special polishes) but it definitely helped me out a lot of over the years, so you can def try it! I didn‘t hear about a nail thinner until now 😅

Nail polish is not good, will damage the polish more, it will damgae the natural gloss.
