I thought was going to be a transitional version of the three songs…but OMG when it turns out it was a mashup I was astonished how magnificent it became!!
Grace Lokwa is a Congolese gospel singer. He is the composer of “Kumama Papa eh” which means “Yahweh be praised" in English. Kevin has Nigerian ancestry so this was pulling in his roots into PTX's music. You can see his video of Kumana Papa at ua-cam.com/video/NpyrcshqU2k/v-deo.html
Couldn't hit play fast enough! I adore this song, it'll be on my regular playlist for all that it's got Christmas song roots. If you like the vibe of this I recommend PTX's version of O Come All Ye Faithful! Thanks so much for reacting :D || 'Joy can be hard to come by' is just such an impactful thing right now. Another rec I just thought of, same kind of sentiment: PTX's Thank You, written by Scott and his fiance at the beginning of the pandemic.
This is my fave on the album. Wonderful breakdown. If you want to watch an AMAZING reaction to this, go to QofyReacts channel and watch his reaction to this. He has African roots, so it is especially meaningful to him. He has reacted to most of the PTX songs. I hope they do a video for this one. The just dropped a new video for "Last Christmas".
This immediately became my favorite Qofy reaction when I saw it. The pure JOY it brought him as he connected the dots was everything I love about PTX ❤️
If you like this a capella genre, I suggest Home Free video singing How Great Thou Art on location in a beautiful mountainous setting. Will raise you out of your seat. In addition to sacred music, they sing just about anything from pop/rock/show/country, you name it. Suggestions: When a Man Loves a Woman, American Pie (sung with Don McLean, 50 years later). Man of Constant Sorrow (from Brother, Where Art Thou). Go Rest High on that Mountain (originally a country hit by Vince Gill), and many more.

If you want to hear something you have never heard before, listen to Maze by the samic sjaman Ellen Marie, from 2018. They are the people north of the wall.
@@AdamStraughan No, I am not good with stuff like that, but if you go in on youtube, Ella Marie, Maze, you will find it. She is in the national costum of the people north of the wall. What is interesting with joik is that they dont sing about a topic, they inbody it. In this case she is inbodying a village witch the govetment wanted to relocate by force, to build a damn. So she IS the village, crying out in dispear.
Hi Adam. I recently came across your channel. I'm happy to know your reaction to David Phelps (O Holy Night) There is one by Voctave feat. Mark Lowry (author of Mary Did You Know). ua-cam.com/video/uaRpeMT1tjQ/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Voctave...11 person choral group, as you may know are wonderfully talented . It is fabulous!! Would love to see your reaction to this. Mark Lowry wrote this piece in 1984 but it was recorded in 1991 with Buddy Greene who put music to this. Mark Lowry and David Phelps sang together in a gospel band..Gaither Vocal Band. David is a trained vocalist. Hope to see your reaction to this.
Can you react to PTX's collaboration with Matteo, Andrea, Virginia Bocelli on the carol, "Do You Know want I Hear" at ua-cam.com/video/mIsvwAK2NKE/v-deo.html
