The 70-200 zooms are very much landscape lenses. They allow for perspective control that is difficult to get with the 24-70 focal range, and basically impossible to get on the ultra wide to wide zooms.
@@craigrichards5621 That may be the Z lens I am looking forward to the most, the Z 100-400. It will be S-line, so hopefully it will be a good performer.
When I was shooting weddings with a D3 and 70-200 was great for grab shots at receptions and during the ceremonies. But it was also useful for shooting band performances. This S version I am happy to hear would be even more useful. Problem is that I preordered it when announced but it is now backordered because Adorama and I are in New York City where truck drivers are refusing to enter because of the outbreak of political riots and murders. And most businesses have been ordered closed resulting in a huge outflow of people fleeing to safer locations. Bah, I should flee too but family is still here.
Great to see another Aussie doing YT videos, Craig. Can I suggest you buy a Rode Wireless Go plus a Rode lav. It will improve your audio out of sight. Ideally you would run it through an external recorder, but until then, go the Go. Btw, Rode is an Aussie coy. Good luck with your future videos.
Hi Andrew I actually do have a rode micro go unfortunately I left the adapter for my iPhone at home I would have re-shot this vlog if it wasn’t for the lockdown and the limited time I have the lens for I’ll check and double check that I have the adapter next time 😁
Concordo con te il S 70 200 è un bellissimo obbiettivo, ma molto pesante e pure io al momento ho scelto per le foto di paesaggio l'accoppiata 14-30 24-200 ,Tanti saluti dall'Italia.
Thanks for the feedback man I'm filming these videos with my iPhone at the moment so the dynamic range is rubbish hopefully I can get a better camera to make these videos shortly
Awesome work mate. That lens looks stella for sure.
Thanks Richard

I agree but I prefer a 100-400mm for landscape myself

@@lescobrandon3047 That's too bad, Ken. Here in peaceful flyover country UPS just delivered my new Z 70-200. It shipped on 8/28.
Good review and how is the weather sealing compared with the F mount 70-200 f2.8 E lens.
Thanks Craig. Excellent!
which plate did you use it to mount it on the arca swiss head?
I really like the last image Craig!
Thanks, Ben I was very excited about that image
Looks like a great lens!
I assume this is a sample lens, and not an open market lens, since they still don't seem to have hit the market?
Actually it was released this week in Australia
I've been shooting on it for three days
It is available on the market now

Z6 or Z7 ?
Hi I’m shooting the the Z6
@@craigrichards5621 Woah, looks amazing. I think you use the z7 to shooting. 🤩
6:07 where you are filming would be real nice pictures, a bit wider and some foreground and waterfall in background. Lift the shadows a bit..
