In Detroit, about 93 or 94, I was at an event where De La, Naughty, Salt n Pepa, and others were there for some show/promotional thing at a club called Latin Quarters in downtown Detroit. I was leader of a group and we were trying to get a deal so we went to pass out demos. The performers had a private area where they had their own bathrooms. Treach was the only dude who used the public men's room where you had to go through the crowd of wild Eastside Detroit dudes to get to. It was a trip to see how far he went to seem relatable and "regular". Now that Pac is gone, but the legend of Tupac is bigger than ever, it must be a head trip for him to try to carry the 'role' of being Pac's best homie from the east coast. He seemed like he KEPT slippin in and out of character in this episode.
Naughty by nature was my favorite rappers and still are. I was 9 when I got the tape and heard yoke the joker. Blew my mind and was hooked from there.

Does Treach EVER smile??? Like, I’ve never in life seen him smile! One thing I’ve noticed about Drink Champs is that as a lot of these legends get older, they tend to be more relaxed and fun .... and here for all the laughs and jokes...... no matter HOW THUGGED OUT shit was coming up. Treach just never seemed fun to me .... always serious. Then and even more now.
If you sat with him away from the elements, you'd know he's one of the coolest & humbled men you'd meet.
