I like that the bag Mo got was a Telfar. It's a black-owned handbag that's very popular (especially among black women), so for Mo, who hasn't known Janine that long, buying her a Telfar was a pretty safe bet for a gift choice, because most people would have reacted like Amber did. Now that being said, if you look at just one outfit of Janine's, it should be obvious that she's not a fashion girlie so... 🤣
I had actually not heard of this until seeing this show. I had to look up the price online. But also, Lego sets are not cheap. Especially ones with lots of parts. I would've much preferred that. But I am also dorkier like Janine.
I also never heard of that brand of purse either. So I'm not gonna assume most women would've had Amber reaction.
@@faureamour Yup, the key to gift-giving is knowing your audience. I'm more into fashion than Legos, but I actually don't like the look of Telfar bags, so I wouldn't have cared for the bag either! Regardless, Mo's gift shows he doesn't know Janine very well.

@@faureamour OMG, I was looking at Lego sets for my nephew last Christmas and was "nah". The themed ones are especially pricey! But yeah, I'd never heard of the bag either and would have preferred the Lego set also, LOL.
I just realised this episode is 2 x 14 like the valentines day date February 14th!

Ava in Jacob’s class putting her phone down and paying attention was everything! A true turning point in her character. I really like all your reactions to romance through all the movies and series ❤
I remember my African/African American Studies teacher in high school was white and that class was 🔥. Went all the way back to ancient Africa. He was very passionate. Kind of like Jacob lol.
I love Jacob he is such a good teacher. I love that he inspires Ava to go back to school and learn.
I love that it was Jacob that got Ava into learning. Heck the fact she was going back to school was impressive. It truly shows how great a teacher he is.

Personally I felt for Gregory, I would have thought of a thoughtful gift as well. Something that is important to me is the thought of the gift than the gift necessarily. So it hurt me a lil that Amber didn’t like it at all.
Gotta know your personnel. Sometimes getting a gift that I know I didn’t like is worse than not getting a gift at all. It’s sort of like mischaracterizing a person
@@cjoseph369 even if someone receives a gift they don’t like they still shouldn’t show their disappointment. It’s definitely rude.
It did hurt a little when he was trying to be thoughtful but I think they did it to kind of up the dramatic tension and make it more obvious that Janine and Gregory are matched and Amber would be happy with someone like Mo.

Zach returns!! I love him he's the best. Also he has no reason to be afraid of Ava since he doesn't work there so it's great to see them interact lol. And Gary too! We really got everybody this episode :).
I feel like a lot of the time we only see Jacob's mistakes teaching, so it's really nice in this episode to see him being genuinely a really good teacher. He even made Ava pay attention! Also Ava talking to the dad at the end was AMAZING, she didn't hold back.
Also just poor Janine xd. Jacob didn't do it on purpose but now she's in even more denial than she was just upset while she does it lol. I love your reactions!
