Yup! Absolutely would watch! It would be really interesting to hear your thoughts about making something to suit the body and style preferences of someone else. I get very in my head when hand making or repairing items for others. And it requires different considerations.
Never apologize for being who you are. I understand the need to be surrounded by “stuff” that comforts you, inspires you, has meaning for you. It tells the story of you. Loved the video tour. Hope you find that house soon.😊
Dust bunnies, fairy sprinkles, lace spinners (spiders) - doing our part in protecting the ecological environment. Thank you for the tour. I'm glad you know what brings you joy to be amongst.

I could see a future for the tropical brocade as a swishy summer housecoat, like a swimsuit cover for those of us who don't go swimming but still enjoy the millionaire-widow-poolparty vibe.
At first I didn't realize that the floral pattern - that can be seen on the left upper arm - is not a lace fabric under the velvet, but your tattoo. Looks great under the sleeve slits! 🐱
My mom calls me the stranger at the end of the hall because I always pick the room at the end if I can no matter where I move and then rarely leave it. As a writer I have never had my hobby so aptly described lol. I actually put on noise canceling headphones as well, because I moved back in with my mom to help her with the newest place and we have fur babies, plus she works from home. I loved getting to see your space! My room is less a bedroom and more a workspace with a bed 😅. Crossing my fingers that your house search will provide you with a ginormous room for your crafty space. The sleeves on the piece your wearing are awesome. My sister would fight you for that wall snake 😂. So many pretty pretty fabrics. I loved the purple and black ones you showed off. Thank you for sharing ❤
The brocades had me drooling! The mylar peacock absolutely sings to me! I recently got some major appliances (new-to-me), and my house was turned upside down and sideways, taking the old ones out and the new-to-me ones in. It involved tearing out my full pantry. Bianca, I have no flippin' clue where my sewing machine is! I love the atmosphere that you are going for. A friend walked into my bedroom and said it looked like a tomb. I thanked him. He's a sweetie!
I'm on team maximal, I couldn't create in an empty space. Maybe it's just a neuro-spicy thing, but I need to be able to see things to remember they exist. For dust management, I particularly like the Ikea Billy bookcases with glass shelves and doors. I can still see everything, but the dust is excluded. Thanks for the tour, your space looks divine.
I haven't even finished the video yet but as someone who has never been to London but has a very fond childhood memory of Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Portobello Road is an amazing song and it does my heart good to know that the message of the song is still relevant apparently.
Watching your videos over the last few years, and just seeing your background set-up grow and grow has been SO mcuh fun, I have to say! If it makes you happy, then go for it!
Thanks for the tour, because I’m basically nosy and curious. I’m a maximalist as well and your sewing/creating room is very organized and clean compared to mine. I’d love to meet your mom, since I’m probably of her generation, I have a daughter your age. I think you’re pretty fabulous and very interesting. It makes me wonder what you were like as a child and what your family culture is.
I absolutely love how you shown the real side of sewing room. I'm always skeptical when youtubers show pristine spaces, maybe they always clean, but it's hard to believe. There is always fluff when you sew, thread, and all that stuff. Also those earrings! They are a statement and I adore them.
@@TheClosetHistorian They are awesome and look amazing with this blouse. Was the blouse your project? If yes, then I would definitely be interested in seeing how it was drafted.
I dont dust very often and only remove the spiders webs after Halloween each year. I dont see the point in buying fake cobwebs when my house spiders make plenty during the year.
The Closet Historian on UA-cam, Bianca's Atelier in real life. Your studio is as wonderfully eclectic as you are. On another note, it was an arrow in my heart to hear that the 80s is a vintage era for you ... I was in my 20s during the 80s and it seems only a few years ago!!!
Ahhh yes!! I’ve been waiting for this 😁😁 I love love love cluttered studios and spaces and actually find that seeing other people’s creative spaces in use actually inspires me to create.
Thank you for the tour of your creating space. 😻😻😻 Honestly, it is very well organized and perfect, even if it's crowded, just look at the creativity which flows from such an accomplished you. 😻😻😻
I am a third-generation non-duster and proud of it! 😃👍😆 Thank you so much for sharing your space with us. I have learned so much from you, thank you for everything. 😊🙏💝💕
Thank you for sharing! A crafty person need not apologize for anything. Great minds needs their tools at their fingertips! I’ve been a fabric and bead person for a long time. Can’t wait for when you use the antique purse frame. Trying to get the nerve to make one myself.
Your fabric and notions organization is seriously life goals. I have 2 old metal boxes that used to hold disposable face masks for miners. That's what my grandma put buttons in so that's how they passed down to me.
The tropical brocade would make a beautiful, fitted 50's dress with a mandarin style collar. Bali-esque glamour! Great tour- thank you so much for letting us peek "behind the curtain"!
Thank you for sharing! I find your work space very inspiring. Please stop apologizing. I can't wait to see what your next work room ends up looking like!
Very astute to compare a sewing room to an apothecary. Master Raymond’s apothecary would , I believe, be perfect as a a sewing room as there are many drawers nooks and crannies to store items. My daughter, 17, collets owls and now will try and hunt down the one you have. Thanks for the tour.🇺🇸 PS Low and behold eBay has many tv lamp owls. Woohoo!
I think I'd prefer a light & bright studio space but I do love the dark & moody look for the living spaces. Target is a good place to find the bigger glass domes. They almost always have them.
...except the last time I went to buy that, they wanted some obscene price like twenty bucks a can for it... something about an addiditve they now use to prevent people from getting high on it ...
I found you about a year ago. I just wanted to give a heart felt thank you for your videos. You have taught me so much and I am very grateful. We are also built similarly, so you have also shown me how different styles could potentially look on me which is an added bonus! I like your room and I hope you are able to find a home soon.
I moved back into my parents basement last year and while I am still a baby seamster and thus don't have as many supplies, my sewing studio also doubles as my bedroom and livingroom so I can definitely empathize with the outgrowing your room sentiment. I'm being gifted a serger and I have No Idea where I'm going to put it. I'm glad that you've really made the limited space your own!! The decor is absolutely beautiful
Except for my very brief marriage I've always lived with my parents. At first it was because I needed them financially, but then it became because they needed me to take care of them physically. There's nothing wrong with living with your parents as long as everybody has freedom and privacy and respect. It might not be everyone's ideal living situation but it shouldn't be considered shameful, especially in today's economy. Also, apropos of nothing, people shouldn't be shamed for liking prunes, they are yummy and not just for constipated old people. Those purple and black brocades tho! Talk about yummy.
Thank you for the tour, I love seeing how other creatives live! I think your "clutter" is awesome and pretty much the way I live as well. I love being surrounded by all the things that I've collected and make me happy and I work better with my stuff always within reach. It helps too, to know exactly where everything is, and if someone moves something, I will know immediately lol. My family keeps saying I need to get rid of stuff and I tell them they can do it when I'm gone, for now, I love everything all around me, my happy happy place!
Having had to move house twice in one year ,I was thankful my valuable sewing weaving and other projects were pre packed in tubs ,and moved to storage Units .. But Oh how i like going through it all and spending time with my things/ stuff and bringing home the projects as I want to do them...this way my storage Unit is my space with my things .
I am also someone who has to be surrounded by beautiful things before I can do my best work! I can't create in a minimalist space. (This includes beautiful objects on my desk at work, and my home.) Thank you for this tour!
I "sew" enjoy your corner of the internet.☺It's such a pleasant break from my own work and yet, in a way, relatable. My childhood home was a lovely, cedar log house, very dark and cozy inside, definitely no white walls, although I can remember getting several runs in my stockings from brushing up against the logs.😅Thank you for the nice tour!
Honestly, if you hadn't mentioned the dust, I wouldn't have even thought of it. That's a very Roman apothecary sign snake. I need to get the Alex chest of drawers, you've convinced me. Don't mind me being silly, but you make me think of a fabulous dragon, ensconced in your hoard cave, rather than "living in your parents basement". I'm so jealous! Thank you for being you.
SO NICE to finally see someone who just lives in so much clutter like I do. So much pressure on this plattform to live the minimalist dream or at least make the impression to do so in videos.
Love your decor and apothecary vibe! And your collection of sequins are sooo pretty 😍 It's comforting to see that your patterning and sewing space are so close together. I also work in a tiny room of my apartment where I'm walking around my ironing board between my cutting table and sewing machine to sew. Here's to bigger and better sewing spaces in the future!
I think you are truly amazing and you started me on my own hobby!!!!…..I can’t stop beading brooches and pictures!!!,it’s costing me a fortune but I’m addicted now. Thank you so much xx
I would highly recommend getting a second monitor before your move to your own house. It's worth every penny! I have them for work, and it really helps with eye strain and sitting more comfortably. My favorite way to make them more ~aesthetic~ is to wrap fake ivy around the edge of the monitor & down the back. That way it looks like they're a more organic, growing thing, and especially on a maximalist desk, the ivy will blend in to the background and won't look out of place. You've been a big interior design inspiration for me over the last few years. I've finally gotten my apartment turned into the haunted forest glen of my dreams, so thanks! I wish I could share pictures with you.
I love your cluttered sewing room!! I have a similarly cluttered room with my microscopes, small fish tanks, books, specimens, fossils, paintings, etc. I feel wrapped in a warm blanket when I'm in my wonder room!😊
I love getting to see how you organize! Like you, I also prefer the dark and moody aesthetic and I think it's so rare to see other examples. Everyone alway does the white walls and rainbow storage. Ick! Really appreciate getting to see how a fellow dark and moody aesthetic lover organizes and decorates!
Thank you for taking the time to show us your work space, you do have a strong attachment to London, love your top/dress, i know its strange to ask but what is the area like where you live in and what is Joanne’s like or Michaels, here in England we have a shop called “Hobby Craft” but it sounds nothing like what you have. Here in England we don’t have basement spaces unless its an old house and mostly no useable attic space, property is expensive and space costs. Thanks again j
Your dark and moody preference is the best environment for your antique lithographs. I very much relate having visual stimuli all around. Though much, smaller my atelier looks much like yours.
finally a messy natural and beautiful sewing space!!!! I can relate since I still live with my parents and have my sewing space in a corner of my room XD
I'm so happy-relived to see video and comments of people like me. I don't dust, my husband gets annoyed at all the spider webs but I like the spiders eating insects. When people walk into my house they often say it looks like an op shop, just stuff everywhere. I admire a lot of things okay! I feel like everyone I know in real life is repulsed by it and it makes me sad.
"I.... don't... dust..." Yeah, me either, vacuuming here is also a losing battle. I'm really bad for out of sight, out of mind, I tend to work in chaos with all the things I could possibly need within reach. Most of it's on the sofa behind me, I sit on the floor with my back up against the sofa unless I'm sewing on a machine... but my beads are in the basement, my ironing and fabric stash are upstairs, so I sorta need to be mindful of what I want to do when I dig out the supplies... my drafting tools and cardboard sewing cutting board are on a glass tabletop perched on top of the rabbit's crate, turns out to be the perfect height... though it's all covered in his hay right now...I really like the idea of fabric cupboards though, my stash is in two steamer trunks, one of which lives on top of the other so ... planning.required.... Oooohhhh, that black and purple brocade....yum!
Considering how you like iridescent fabric and accents, you should look into a stain called "Unicorn Spit", it's an iridescent gel stain for use on bare or painted wood. Might make an interesting upgrade to the Blue Patterning Table of Doom some day.
My kids just built me a mother-in-law apt. upstairs from my house and I have a sewing "room" on 1 side of my bedroom too. Not as large as yours I'm sure. They now live downstairs and I am on the second floor. In hosp. I lost 17 lbs so have been the happy sewer so I have clothes that fit. I also like the 40s and 50s clothes and have been making clothes from my fabric stash since nobody wants it when I'm gone. Love your channel and even after sewing for 60 years or so I still am learning new things.
8:28 - Everyone's different. I'm more of a tanned leather and off-white wood sort of person who likes her writing and coloring things hidden but accessible. But I love your maximalist style so much too! It feels very creatively charged, like a treasure trove of inspiration just waiting to be picked up and worked with.
Love that you enjoy all your stuff around you, so do I. Your dress looks great, love the sleeves. Would love to see the making of Mum's wardrobe even if you have to put them on a mannequin. x
Thank you so much for thenlovely tour. I doubt this opinion will matter but I feel like that gorgeous iridescent lace would be great as a jacket or wrap because then it could be worn over different colors to show it off in different ways and allow it to be more versitile through the seasons for greater chances to wear. It would also be really incredible to see some scap from whatever project you do possibly used to decorate a hat? It looks like it could make a really intresing bow like bit or maybe even used in place of some veiling? This is where my mind went when seeing it.
What a wonderful tour! It was really fun to see you in your creative lair! I like to see how other artists organize their spaces...it's quite helpful. I also have the same Brother Serger and the blue flowered fabric curtains that you do! Thanks so much for sharing!
If it helps I'm absolutely certain that a "Let's dress my Mom" series would do well even if she decided not to model them for the internet
Yup! Absolutely would watch! It would be really interesting to hear your thoughts about making something to suit the body and style preferences of someone else.
I get very in my head when hand making or repairing items for others. And it requires different considerations.
It would add more variety to the channel as well, wins all round!
Going through it from the beginning by making the block from measurements... great idea!
Agreed. You would inspire us to finish that unfinished project we all have started for our moms.
Absolutely. Would love a 'dress my mum' series!
A true artist's lair, surrounded by things you love and that inspire you ❤
love that usage, 'artist's lair'!
Never apologize for being who you are. I understand the need to be surrounded by “stuff” that comforts you, inspires you, has meaning for you. It tells the story of you. Loved the video tour. Hope you find that house soon.😊
Thank you Maureen!
I’m currently working out of the corner of my family basement. Sometimes I need to remind myself to get come fresh air and sunlight.
I TELL YOU I JUST LOVE YOUR VIBE! SO FABULOUSLY RETRO. HUNNY, EDITH HEAD WOULD LOVE YOU!
I know you've had your hair cut for a while, but I just wanted to say I absolutely love it. It suits you very well.

Hell yes to the cluttered Victorian look! Also that velvet blouse is incredible 😍😍

Uh, I love the term lace spinners! I'd never heard that before...
Thank you Kaytie!
Your camera angles when filming your other videos are magic, because I had no idea how cramped your space is. You do a great job creating a totally different atmosphere.
Oh! And if anyone's interested, the wall snake would be easy to make with a toy snake, some wire, and paint.
Thank you Cheryl!
"Cluttered maximalist" is also how I would describe myself. I'm going to have to remember that term alongside "horror vacui" (the Victorian distaste for empty space).
HUNNY, YOU ARE GIVING A FURIOUS KAY FRANCIS VIBE WITH YOUR LOOK! WORKIT DIVA! LOVE IT!!!!!!

“Oh, pool boy! Bring me a cocktail, will you . . .be a dear.”
I love the sleeves you're wearing!
And I agree, it's so nice to have pictures on the walls and Fancy Objects on top of surfaces.
"BLUE PATTERING TABLE OF DOOM!" LOVE IT!!! LOL!!!

Love it, wonderful 😂. Loved seeing it all in such detail!

Thank you!

I have a craft room with a bed in it as well, lol xD
Thank you Tiffany! A workroom with a bed was all of my spaces in apartments in university for sure 🧵✨

I love your sewing room! I too am a maximalist!!! And unashamed of it! This is what creative people do!!
A way to dust, if necessary is canned air. Start at the top and work down. If you really want it cleared, have a vacuum hose pulling the dust away.
...except the last time I went to buy that, they wanted some obscene price like twenty bucks a can for it... something about an addiditve they now use to prevent people from getting high on it ...
Funny enough canned air is super good for dusting vintage hats ✨

SO NICE to finally see someone who just lives in so much clutter like I do. So much pressure on this plattform to live the minimalist dream or at least make the impression to do so in videos.
I never dream in minimal 🤣✨
Love your decor and apothecary vibe! And your collection of sequins are sooo pretty 😍 It's comforting to see that your patterning and sewing space are so close together. I also work in a tiny room of my apartment where I'm walking around my ironing board between my cutting table and sewing machine to sew. Here's to bigger and better sewing spaces in the future!
Thank you! We could all use more space I expect!!
I think you are truly amazing and you started me on my own hobby!!!!…..I can’t stop beading brooches and pictures!!!,it’s costing me a fortune but I’m addicted now.
Thank you so much xx
I'm glad you're having a most excellent time!! ❤️
Thank you!!
I love your cluttered sewing room!! I have a similarly cluttered room with my microscopes, small fish tanks, books, specimens, fossils, paintings, etc. I feel wrapped in a warm blanket when I'm in my wonder room!😊
Admittedly, I squeaked when I saw your UA-cam plaque. Well deserved B.
Thank you Claudia!
OMG, I'm in love with your blouse! So elegant and beautiful! The beautiful fabric on 19:00 is something I could see as a 40s-50s beach set.
Thank you!
Thank you Katheryn!
✨Best✨Makep✨Ever✨
Thank you for taking the time to show us your work space, you do have a strong attachment to London, love your top/dress, i know its strange to ask but what is the area like where you live in and what is Joanne’s like or Michaels, here in England we have a shop called “Hobby Craft” but it sounds nothing like what you have. Here in England we don’t have basement spaces unless its an old house and mostly no useable attic space, property is expensive and space costs. Thanks again j
The area where I live is verrrry suburban, think the movie Pleasantville or Stepford wives but with less 1950's charm 😬
Your dark and moody preference is the best environment for your antique lithographs. I very much relate having visual stimuli all around. Though much, smaller my atelier looks much like yours.
Indeed dark and moody is good for antique prints and for fabric so we'll say it's for science! 😂
finally a messy natural and beautiful sewing space!!!! I can relate since I still live with my parents and have my sewing space in a corner of my room XD
Your hair is so beautiful. If I had straight hair, I’d do that in a heartbeat. *chef’s kiss*
Thank you!
Love Christine’s videos too! Thanks for sharing your space. 😊❤
"I.... don't... dust..." Yeah, me either, vacuuming here is also a losing battle.
Would love to see the making of Mum's wardrobe even if you have to put them on a mannequin. x
THANK YOU FOR SHARING..I HAVE LEARNED FROM YOUR TOUR THAT I ALSO LIKE CLUDER. NOW I NO LONGER FEEL GUILTY...
Veiling would definitely be fun as it is suuuper sheer!
What a wonderful tour! It was really fun to see you in your creative lair! I like to see how other artists organize their spaces...it's quite helpful. I also have the same Brother Serger and the blue flowered fabric curtains that you do! Thanks so much for sharing!
We need a tutorial for your blouse! Love it!!!!!
Yes!!
Thank you! I'm afraid it was a patreon project, so a video does exist, it's just over on patreon 😅 Sorry about that!
Thanks sooo very much for sharing your space! I get it, being surrounded by what you love!❤️❤️❤️
That was so enjoyable, thank you. You are my people! We will likely never meet but if we did, we'd geek out.
The fabric you didn’t know what to make with it would be absolutely amazing as a sheath dress. Loved the tour!
Reminds me of my sewing room....full and all very me!!!!!!!!!! xxxxxxxx
