MOSTAR, SECONDA PARTE - Ed eccomi finalmente nel cuore storico della città: la Mostar d’epoca ottomana! Un viaggio affascinante e allo stesso tempo commovente, dove la sofferenza della popolazione civile durante la guerra degli anni ’90 ha raggiunto l’apice. Il mio video è frutto di attente ricerche. Ho cercato di esporre semplicemente fatti storici, senza favorire un gruppo religioso a discapito dell’altro. Spero il mio sforzo possa essere apprezzato, e che sia da sprone per quanti, a prescindere dalla propria provenienza, nazionalità, appartenenza etnica, lingua o credo, siano attivamente impegnati nel promuovere un clima di pace e fratellanza tra i popoli: certe cose non dovrebbero nemmeno essere pensate, eppure continuano a ripetersi nel tempo e nello spazio, praticamente macchiando di rosso nel corso dei secoli la storia di ogni popolo su questo nostro meraviglioso ed unico pianeta.
MOSTAR, SECOND PART - And here I am finally in the historic heart of the city: the Mostar of the Ottoman era! A fascinating and at the same time moving journey, where the suffering of the civilian population during the war of the 1990s reached its peak. My video is the result of careful research. I tried to simply present historical facts, without favoring one religious group to the detriment of the other. I hope my effort can be appreciated, and that it will be a spur to those who, regardless of their origin, nationality, ethnicity, language or belief, are actively engaged in promoting a climate of peace and brotherhood between peoples: certain things should not even be thought of, yet they continue to repeat themselves in time and space, practically staining the history of every people on this wonderful and unique planet of ours over the centuries.
