I and my father applied to work at post office, both of us military veterans which by rules at time should had increased our chances, especially me with 30% disability. However he was called for interview and not me, neither selected.
Rumor was a "friend" of people already at that post office was hired. If shady people already were working at that location then I assume they wanted to avoid any honest new people joining...
I'm judging the offender by the content of their character.
