The last Olympics before our worst ever in Atlanta that created a new approach with lottery funding and the incredible results since....1992 Barcelona was a brilliant games....and was nice to see every medal GB got was seen as a major achievement
I’m not a BBC-basher but see how on review programmes they used to cover all athletic events and show the key action and the results (with reference to British athletes). A review these days would be 10 minute VT’s of GB gold medal back stories. Maybe it’s because we win more these days in many kinds of sports.
