The bottom barrel of the elves are on the same level as a human fighter but the higher tier elves are much stronger than even the most elite humans.

Great compilation, I actually didn't know Aranessa had sync kill, as I recall only missing from the video are 2nd Kadaii Fireborn animation, Troglodon vs Carnosaur, Dragon striking Hellpit Abomination, and 2nd Varghulf kill, Cold Ones of Lizardmen, Dark Elves - though some might be bugged nowdays.
Yeah some animations seem either to be bugged or they haven't bothered porting them from older games. I already tried the cold ones and the troglodon but couldn't get them anymore. I will check the other ones and might make another video with the ones I missed.

I love the sync kills; I introduced someone to this game a while back, and they asked me why the sync killing units don't take damage I had to explain to them that in order to make the game "fair" sync killing units can't be damaged while in the midst of a sync kill, because some go on for a while. Some of these kills are chefs kiss beautiful. [Edit] By fair; I mean that in order to be able to have these sick animations; you literally have to disable damage because then you'd have to program in interruption animations, and the hard part of that is tacking on a hundred plus different interruptions and that means some battles won't work well if the heroes can't actually kill anybody without being interrupted by interruption animations. It's just easier to disable damage and allow kills to go through than add additional animations where characters can interrupt the sync kills
It's not about faction, it's about unit type. Creatures that use the same skeleton model as another all use the same sync animations. In case of the lizardman kills, the victim entity could have been replaced by any other large infantry type. For example, Stormvermin and Saurus use the same skeleton. Trolls and Crypt Horrors. Most cavalry is interchangable, unless they ride non-standard animals.
For me the combat is just too fuckin fast for me to even think about zooming in most of the time, its at the point that Im about to use a mod specifically to slow this shit down

did you use a mod or mod the packfiles yourself to get more sync kills to activate? i've tried forever to get mobs like the Carnotaur and the Ogre Mournfang mount to trigger animations but never ever get any, i've tried the "more animations" mod and that seems to get some mobs to synckill nearly every kill (like the Kislev forest beast) but other mobs i never can get any sync kills.
Quick question, how much does the matched combat affect "balance"? Do large entities get stuck in single unit killing animations instead of doing big sweeping attacks for example? I absolutely love what was showcased here, just wondering how it effects things.
The problem with sync animation kills is that I’m normally way up in the air with my camera seeing all my units and the enemy units as ant-sized so I rarely get to actually enjoy viewing them.
The duel between just regular soldier in attila still amaze me to this day. Same for the one in shogun or Rome as you mentionned. I get that it will be pretty tricky to add in total war warhammer, but damn, that was beautiful
@@IblessmE but it looks awful. In a real battle nobody would just stand around and duel like in hollywood movies. It instatly takes me out and my only real problem with Shogun 2 battles. Haven’t played Attila though.
I think they stated at some point that devs dont get paid for sync animations and that they add them on their own time just out of passion. that was early TWWH2 admittedly, things mightve changed
I only used the better camera mod. All of the sync kills are in the unmodded game but some are only in warhammer 2 like the jabberslythe or the mournfang.
