Maybe it's time to start an investigation on the Senate construction because the way Binay is moving, she wanted to stop Cayetano from asking too many questions which is very suspicious. maybe there is really something about that Hillmark-Binay Affair.

You were given instruction to finish the building yet you were holding on to the building documents in her desk for 15-16 months, acc to Cayetano, , causing unnecessary delay.

Talo si binay jan, nasa documents na di nya natrabaho and hindi nya nirereview yung senate building para di mag overprice for 15 months. Nasa office nya naman lahat ng documents for review, yun trabaho nya jan para maiwas sa overpricing.

@@zachie4333 Sobrang petty. How much difference is overspending 21.7B vs 23B. Cayetano didn't even insist that DPWH's was incorrect. He was simply comparing it to the document submitted by Binay's staff. Simple clarification (21.7+land cost = 23B) is all that's needed. The issue is the non-typical exceedingly high cost of many other things that needs to be clarified or investigated

The hearing was orderly until Senator Binay walked in and decided to conduct the interview herself. It is the panel’s fault if they were unable to answer the questions of Senator Cayetano.

Ask for an internal audit of the cost and the processes on awarding the projects to contractors. Bring in forensic auditors to look at the books. Then take back what was plundered and impeach the people involved.

Justifying the 21.7 billion exorbitant cost of the building comparing it to renting is not valid justification.

We have to be factual hindi po kasali 'yung amount ng Lot doon sa funds for the construction na ang DPWH ang mag-proprovide. Kaya 21 B lang ang labas when it comes to Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 ng building. May isa lang talagang makulit diyan na iniinclude 'yung lot para tumama doon sa amount na Gusto niyang palabasin.

The conflicts among Senators is very minor compared to the scandalous extravagant / costly Senate bldg. say PHP23 Billion (maybe escalate more). Binay is alleging ulterior political motive as the intentions reason for the review.
That is not true, the reason and purpose of the review is to control and reduce the cost of construction.
The review as a hearing is a must to force DWPH to provide all the info /numbers needed , honestly.
Escudero and Cayetano are doing the right thing.
Binay should allow the review to continue, and stop opposing it defensively. Her behavior and attitude just put her in a bad light.
Cayetano is certainly not a statesman 👍
I am agree with Sen Binay to file a complaint against cayetano for being unprofessional attitude. For ke cayetano does not deserve a respect he is so rude.
