Dang I was just there this weekend, doing the Georgia Traverse again, but I really want to explore more of that area. - Also, We had to clear two trees this trip. A smaller one and a massive one that left us stuck on the trail for 3 hours, while we worked through it... I bought a chain saw the day before on a gut instinct we'd need it. I was right.

I ate lunch at The Spotted Pig today. Got to spend some time with the owner while we waited out a storm before lunch opened (we were on 2 wheels today). I am thankful they are there. Be aware they close down for a few months in the winter time as Clayton is largely a tourist town.
If you like Cuban food, I highly recommend “Hush” across the street from The Spotted Pig. While seasoned differently, their pulled pork is some of the best I’ve had. Their whole menu is great though.

Another great vid Bill and as a GA native I love to see highlights from trips there in my beloved mountains. Your videography is just fantastic. I showed your videos to my 13yo who was my drone pilot while we were in Moab last month so he could get an idea of how a pro does it. He did ok for a beginner.

Back in March I was in the Sarah's creek area off was woman road, my friends were camping by the Sarah's creek campground. We hiked up to the mall family cemetery at midnight. an that was quite the spooky experience. I will be going back there this upcoming fall to camp out at Sarah's creek camo ground and explore in the walnut creek road that runs up to ducks nest and the yazoo Indian cemetery and ending at Wilson gap.

When you are in the area, you really need to check out the Rusty Biker in Clayton for breakfast and baked good to go. I doubt they could handle a crowd on the weekend, but it may be worth a call. I love the N. GA mountains and I always hit up Rusty Biker for a good breakfast after some time in the woods. Nice video

Great content! I live in North East Alabama and have a pretty stock Jeep Wrangler JLU Freedom Edition with 33” tires and have also bought a Hiker Trailer that I would love to get up the nerve to make the trip over into North GA with. I’m just trying to figure out the where to begin. I’m a teacher and about to be off for a couple of months and have thought I should just take a few days and begin at an established camp ground so I can scout some of the forest roads so I don’t get stuck between a rock and a hard place with the trailer in tow. Would love to join up with a small group and go to some of the dispersed sites in the North GA and SE Tenn mountains.

Finding a smaĺ group is the best thing to do, however there are many forest roads that are just gravel. Thanks for watching!

Have you ever taken 86C to Hail's Ridge from overflow creek rd? Not a bad little cut through.

I enjoyed your video. Just an fyi… for what it’s worth. I noticed you don’t cross your trailer chains. I was taught at a young age to always cross the chains, and it saved me once. The idea of crossing the chains will prevent the trailer from dropping all the way down to the ground if for some reason it comes unhitched while driving. Again, it saved me once on I75 heading to Florida.

Thank you for the compliment and the advice. I normally do cross my chains however, on this particular trailer it isn’t an option as both chains are connected to the same location

@@CoddiwompleOverland I kind of figured. We over in the Blairsville area. Been here a year now, and just finally settled in. Have you done any video’s in this area. We have a 2003 Forest, and my wife and I need to get out and start exploring. What mapping system do you use for the trails?
