- If you wait long enough, the F-16's will fly into the 2K12 Kub/SA-6 Gainful missile system, where it can help with air defense; however, it can only track one target at a time, so be careful. Two Mig-29 Fulcrums spawn as well to help with defense, and two Mig-23 Floggers are also present, although they will take off too late to help.

I played the game 15 years ago, as a kid, and I never understood anything about how to complete the missions ^^

This game introduced me to air combat simulators.
I learned how to bind keys, do maneuvers, control weapons & radar.
I mean took me months before I actually was able to dog fight properly.

Me neither, then my dad helped me out, told I have to learn a lot how basics and logic of those systems work, like for example how RWR works, then also keybinds, what does what, how to bind it, how to use it and so on.. It went pretty fast after that, before it I was clueless, but it was manageable, its nowhere near the level of where DCS is right now.

@@zaifergamer9520 Yea, I did briefly, but I quickly found out the limitations of my computer at 90 Celsius, haha xD
@@WarMachineTank You can still try getting Lock On Flaming Cliffs 2. Its system requirements are much lower than DCS but it is like a better looking and more advanced version of LOMAC :) You will even get to play with the Su-25T in it.

It usually explodes either due to loss of radar lock, flying out of range, or flying too low for the SAM targeting system to track. Only on computer controlled units though.

How to lock and fire missle in this game?
It will depend on the nation you use; America or the Soviet Union. America's lock on is automatic, USSR's is manual. Use the LETTER KEYBOARD portion numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 to select the kind of scan mode (the smaller the keyboard number, the greater the range) and then use the "tab" key to lock onto the target (once again, if it's American, it's automatic)

I've learn about Soviet radar and fired some missle, only American's are a bit hard, i still haven't managed to fire it (pressing space but only gun firing),also the lock looks weird, i can't do it properly.
@@KhanhLam777 Using the numbers above the letters on your keyboard, select 3 (vertical scan radar) or 4 (bore/direct scan radar) for medium to short range lock on (~14 km or so). Just point the airplane until the enemy is inside the circle, wait for it to lock on, and if it's a successful lock, you will see a small triangle or star (depending on the missile you use) near the enemy target on your HUD. If you are using 2 (BVR = Beyond Visual Range radar), you have to manually lock onto the target the same way as the Soviets do, using the target acquisition screen on the bottom left of your cockpit (it's near the throttle)

Hi "starbattle008", I used another program called "Fraps" to record my Lock On gameplay. The game itself lacks recording capabilities.

@@cricketfan9611 I currently use Windows 10; however, this game (and I'm assuming the Fraps recording program as well) can run on earlier versions of Windows (ex. Vista, XP)

@@cricketfan9611 Try running the program in "compatibility mode": *right click* the Lock On Icon/game, select "properties", navigate to the "compatibility" tab, select the box for "run this program in compatibility mode for", select windows 7, press ok;
Also, when you launch the game, try running it as "administrator": *right click* on the Lock On icon/game, select "run as administrator", select yes

Sorry bro, it's only for PC I believe. The requirements for the game is pretty low, however, if you do not have a gaming computer.
