I wouldn’t say this Louis is toootally different. Lestat says in the show that he was drawn to Louis’ “luminous sorrow.” He was conscious of the fact that Louis was deeply repressed and “wore many hats” in order to survive and in order to appease the people in his life. The thing is that when he does move from his family home to his new husband’s, he only really ends up wearing new hats to appease Lestat. I’m obsessed with their dynamic and find it deeply romantic through a gothic lense despite everything lol. Anyways, so glad I found your channel! I’m about to go catch up on the rest of your iwtv videos.
It's funny about the new Claudia debate, because I personally can see more of a teenager in her than in Bailey. And I'll say more, that was my whole problem with Bailey in S1, I could only see an adult trying to look like a teenager, I got used to it better at the end of the season, precisely because she wasn't trying to be a kid anymore. so I don't know lol But I'm very excited for the new actress because all the S2 reviews are praising her performance and how she fits the role seamlessly, which says a lot in my opinion coming from a recast
But she wasn’t though. Bailey was 17 when she filmed the show. And why y’all keep comparing looks? I feel like bailey absolutely looked like a 14 years old. And her acting was AMAZING!!!
@@basicquality3421 I know, but there was an excessive effort to make her portray a child who ended up looking like an adult trying to pass as a younger child, sometimes she even looked more childish than Kirsten Dust in the film, this discomfort ended when it was no longer necessary do that. But of course, this is just my opinion!
@@erick7895 well of course, everyone has opinions and critiques. But I think she was just going off on what the writers wrote on script, she was just doing her job. And I’ve been seeing a lot of people’s opinions on bailey Claudia on social media, and they all have been saying that delainey’s Claudia is better just because she “looks younger” thats a stupid opinion in my book. We should be judging off performances and acting skill.
