""My brother told me we have to be patient with a lot of things, because we're at war. But what does that mean? Where is "war," and why can't we leave?"
Oh Gods I read this initially and teared up a bit. I didn't remember the context so I thought that the child wanted to leave their current location. Then, I realized that while that can be read that way, "Leaving war" as in "ending war" is also a perfectly correct interpretation of that, and now I'm crying.
@@Докторпарадокс Sometimes it's more of a "How was I supposed to know that *this* choice would start a domino effect again?" I do appreciate the twins not mocking you if your screw-up is because of something you just couldn't have known (how was I supposed to know the enemy took the mine _and_ the fortress, I played this route first and the spy didn't tell me in this route), but going all the harder on you when you should know that was a stupid idea (taking any of the deals with the villains).
This theme gripped my heart straight it speaks to me on a deep level it's like certain emotion you can't put your finger on not sadness or despair but Sorrow of lost opportunity and hope of a better outcome
Massive Spoilers: I remember when Kiel died when I first played the original version, I was so upset. I really liked him and hoped he would be a playable character. Him getting rescued at the end of the story made me really happy.
Thank you for marking this as spoilers. I haven't read the comment yet but so many people spoil things without consideration for others. Its nice to know people respect other people
It's not just the war and your friends you lose when this plays. It's everything. Without anyone to stop it, the world literally falls apart from all the fighting and everything turns to sand and is lost forever.
My only issue with this track is that its used in so many places it kinda loses its impact after a while. In the end game i even made a game with myself where in every sad scene i would guess if this would start playing. Was very fun.
I love this track, but only if the game were not so punishing for making wrong choices. Most of the time when this track plays, it's usually during an wrong ending consist of long cut scenes, which kind of take away the potential power it has to incur emotional responses after a while... I swear I wasnt even paying much attention to this beautiful track when I was in the haste of trying to resume from the last save point, lol.
There is a far too small fanbase for Radiant Historia.
Yep.
RH is definitely one of the more underrated gems out there.
thanks for subbing !

@@user-rg4wl4ex3h please not that word, i beg of you!
Yoko Shimomura really knows how to write these beautiful emotional pieces of music.
the "I fucked up" song
Simple track but so much emotion... These little notes are rich with regrets, sorrow and innocence. It makes me feel like a lost golden childhood.

This song is the song I remember most from this game.
I know both were composed my Shimomura but this sounds soooo much like the Xenoblade 1 title theme.
Sad boi hours.

It really hurt when Kiel died. He's a good kid who looked up to Stocke and he was ready to lay down his life for him.
I’m glad I pay attention to spoilers
I love this track, it's so simple and yet does an excellent job on convening sentiments of loss and nostalgia
