Happy belated birthday! I have the actbest pioneer. Which similar to a model made by smartravel. After watching your video, i decided it was time to upgrade my bike. Figured I'd try it and see how it turns out. Thanks for the video.
@@Dorothy-j6y The spacer was for the Rotor as it was sitting too close to the brake pads. It was a simple fix though later on once I switched the torque arm to the other side of the fork and rearranged the axel washers.
Thanks that has been a common thing for me when using this style of hub conversion method they are a bit larger and need a little adjustment for brakes thanks for the info
@@Dorothy-j6y No Problem I have new video content coming soon. Sorry about the lack of uploads as the holiday season has been busy for me. Feel free to check out our FB group when you get a chance facebook.com/groups/769067871259933
Greetings I’m getting ready to do some upgrades to my Smartravel bike after watching your video. Is there anyway that I DM or email you with my ideas???
I been looking at this bike for some time now on Amazon & Walmart trying can you give me information on this bike & the best place to purchase from ????
Welcome to the channel! Check out the links in the description as they have all the parts and the bike itself on sale! Stay tuned because I'm about to turn this bike into a 60V cafe racer!
For somerewason youtube wouldnt let me add the links in the decrsiption but here are the parts I upgraded the bike with. I currently get about 50-60 miles after a full charge and occasional pedaling. I absolutely id say go with a 5000w kit! Just remember that weight distribution will affect the bike's feel and performance. You would get about 55 mph with a 5kw kit.
@@GreenGridthanks for the reply but that seems like a crazy jump haha and pricey any kit less than that I think 45 mph would be Perfect for me I would genuinely really appreciate your feedback I love your channel btw
No problem! I do 40mph currently on this bike setup which is enough for me honesty. If you want to do 45 I would say go with a 52v 3000w kit @@tjflowers5814
@@GreenGridthat sounds perfect actually what kit would you recommend? I was looking seems like 3000 and 5000 are a lot more popular to find with fat front tire
I would avoid putting 3-5k on any front tire as it's just not enough equal weight distribution and could be pretty dangerous as with spinouts. I would recommend going with this Rear tire Kit here amzn.to/3RjjIqa @@tjflowers5814
Maybe if you took the cassette off but then you have to fit a new Axel on the hub which would cost you more time and parts. Id just add a direct drive hub like I did in the video and call it day.

This is awesome! If you don't mind I'd like to mention you in my next upload!
@@GreenGrid sure. That'd be great. Thanks.
Awesome just got this kit waiting for it to come😮
you will love it!
What did you use spacers for the axel or the disc brake?

I have a question how could all wheel drive be done with an additional smart travel hub???
Make sure to check out my video where I show you the entire process.
How did you install the mirrors on the handlebars? can you link to where you got them?
The link is in the video description
Where’s the link where you purchase for this upgrade ? How long of a range do you have now that you have dual battery ?

Do you think if I did your same setup but with 72v it would be even faster if so how much faster?

So we ride with no lights?
No sir!
Anybody else think he crashed with the cut between the first 2 scenes?
lol definitely didn't crash. That would have been prime footage.
I'm between a 3k and a 5k watt motor for my SmartTravel. I wish I could use the stock rear hub in the front too..
Can I? 😮
