@@Kayla-to6qr You do realize I posted that comment 4 years ago right? And yeah riders get hurt but we're the ones who make horses do this, they don't ask to do any of this. We know the risks of riding but the horses don't. They just do what we tell them and they trust us to keep them safe

and if the judge can see something is wrong with a pony and the rider somehow hasn't noticed,, he will call of the game for the pony to be checked by a vet :) our ponies is the most important and sought after value of games

Die Reiter klopfen zwar zum Teil wie blöd mit den Beinen, aber wenn die Pferde wirklich nicht wollen würden, würden sie auch nicht so rennen. Ich kann bei meiner auch manchmal klopfen wie ich will, aber sie bewegt sich trotzdem keinen Millimeter!! Das im Maul rumzerren find ich auch net so toll, aber Pferde reagieren halt nun mal mit Mund aufreißen, und würden die Reiter nicht ein bisschen ziehen, wären die meisten Ponys schon über alle Berge, weil sie ja rennen wollen. Das hat nicht wirklich mit Panik was zu tun. Die Ponys sehen: oh die anderen rennen, also wollen sie auch, und wie sonst auch gibts halt bei den Mounted Games Regeln. Es geht halt mal um Schnelligkeit bei manchen der Spiele. Da, wo dass Pferd hingeflogen ist und der/die Reiter/in wieder aufgestiegen ist, muss ich zustimmen, dass das nicht zu unterstützen ist. Ich glaub das war alles, aber manche der Kommentare hier haben mich einfach nur aufgeregt. Es gibt überall im Pferdesport Fälle, wo es nicht unbedingt Pferdegerecht zugeht, also bevor man irgendwen oder -was schlechtredet sollte man sich darüber informieren.
Yeah I though that even in nh racing if your horse goes down you can't remount it pretty awful the kid didn't even think to check if it's horse was ok not acceptable behaviour under any circumstances hope they were disqualified for that

and this is why mounted games gives you an adrenaline boost. i myself love it, but i have fallen off, and it’s not the nicest thing, especially when it’s muddy. i wouldn’t recommend doing it if you like keeping clean. but summer shows are pretty nice!

Wir haben auch mal mounted games gemacht (natürlich einfacher😂) und ich durfte mein pony nicht reiten weil die immer bockt (also mein ferienpony damals) was man unter bockig verstehen kann ist dass sie am tag danach 14 mal ohne sattel mit mir gestiegen ist 😅😂😂😂 Also das nenn ich mal eine kleine ziege 😂 Naja die kann noch so EINIGES😂🤦♀️🤣😅 Aber sie ist wunderschön😍
I have some issues with this video. Don't take offense -- I'm only learning how to ride, and not be just a passenger. So some of what I write will no doubt be an "Are you Serious??!!" to some of you. If you fall off, and the wind is knocked out, do you lie still and wait for help? I wouldn't be alone. Or do you pop up soon as you can for fear of being pounced on by a 1200 lb horse? In the riding games, every single horse looked too small for the rider. Is there such a thing, or can a horse just handle it? Is it true a horse can tell if the rider is a novice?
There is an international size chart, where you check if you can ride your horse and it is checked at competitions as well :) and usually we practise in teams or at least when there is someone else around, it is a somehow dangerous sport afterall :)
tbh i guess it all depends, and for the lie down part i usually stand up more of because Either i dont want to get run over and to make sure my horse is ok, whether i have breath or not lol and sometimes i stand up immediatly so people dont keep asking if im ok XD. i agree with the too small part i guess it could depend on the weight of the rider. And i think personally yes, my horse is very push button with me(and a couple other riders who have been riding awhile) but as soon as my friend or any one thats newer gets on(she hasnt been riding for that long) hes SUPER stubborn and will refuse to do what they want most of the time.
uh. we don’t wait for help.. none of us do. we literally just go ‘oh well’ and go and get our ponies and carry on with the next race. and yes, a horse can tell if a rider is a novice, as a novice will ride differently, and seem more gentle! i was a novice rider and my pony gave me all the confidence i need! now i currently compete in MGA and Mounted Games, riding for Mid Glam (a team in Britain) and i have met so many people.
Also wir machen am Hof manchmal so was ähnliches.... aber doch nicht so! Bisschen Kampfgeist ist ja schön und gut, aber man muss es ja nicht gleich so übertreiben... Wir lassen unsre Pferde in den Wendung halt nicht im gestreckten Galopp und vielleicht kann man sein Pferd auch mal beruhigen, bevor man aufsteigt?

The horses might have gotten injured, yes, however the title doesn't say funny so everyone chill out a little, we can be mad if the rider got back on their hurt horse to play the game, but not at the person who uploaded it since they didn't say it was funny!

Ich finde es gerade furchtbar was diesem Sport unter diesem Video alles unterstellt wird. Zu aller erst mal müsst ihr bedenken, dass dies ein Fail Video ist! Ich denke jeder der reitet kennt Situationen in denen nicht alles glatt läuft, und auch dass man oft schon sieht/merkt dass was schief geht oder gleich was passiert, und mir kann hier keiner erzählen, dass er da noch nie, um schlimmeres zu verhindern mal am Gebiss gezogen hat oder mal stärker mit dem Schenkel gearbeitet hat. Bevor mir da mein Pony wegrennt und danach sehr wahrscheinlich, weil sehr voller Platz, in andere Ponys, Reiter oder Helfer rein, würde ich es auch rumziehen. Und auch sonst kann hier niemand, wenn er wirklich ehrlich ist, sagen dass er sowas nicht schon mal getan hat weil er sich nicht anders zu helfen wusste, auch ohne bockendes Pferd. Jeder macht mal diese Fehler, auch wenn sie nicht gut sind das ist mir selber auch klar, aber das ist nunmal so. Und das ist ja auch der Titel des Videos! FAIL!!! Ihr solltet euch "normale" Videos von so einem Wettkampf anschauen und dann werdet ihr feststellen, dass dieser Sport bei Weitem nicht so "brutal" ist wie es hier vllt scheint. Ausserdem gibt es da sehr strenge Auflagen, was da an Gebissen und so weiter verwendet werden darf. Sporen sind da z.B. nicht erlaubt und es dürfen auch nur Plastikbügel verwendet werden. Und sicherlich macht es nicht jedem Pferd Spaß so ein Tempo zu gehen, aber dennoch gibt es welche, ich bin mir auch hier ziemlich sicher, dass da fast jeder ein Beispiel kennt. Ein Pony/ Pferd dass sofort lospäst, wenn man es auf die Wiese bringt und dann auch erstmal seine Runden dreht. Oder eines dass beim Reiten generell sehr flink ist. Und genau diese Ponies sind es auch die in diesem Sport gehen, ansonsten hätte man ja auch gar keine Chance mit einem Pferd dass sich weigert oder gar nicht erst auf die Geschwindigkeit kommt (häufig sind die die schnell sind ja auch die, die gerne rennen). Genauso ist es mit dem Stress, natürlich braucht man da Pferde und Ponies die Nervenstark sind aber die gibt es auch genauso wie es totale Angsthasen gibt, die sich hierbei sicherlich quälen würden. (Und nein das im Video sind zum größten Teil keine gestressten Tiere und jeder der sich wirklich einigermaßen mit der Körpersprache und Verhalten von Pferden auskennt sieht dass auch, nur leider können das sehr viele nicht vernünftig abgrenzen und dann entstehen Kommentare wie sie unter diesem Video zu finden sind) Und ganz zum Schluss möchte ich nochmal darauf hinweisen, dass das ein Fail Video ist. Schaut man sich solche von Dressur, Springen oder Vielseitigkeit oder Western an, sieht man ganz ähnliche Bilder. Gerade beim Springen muss das schon gar kein Fail Video sein, da sieht man sehr oft Reiter die einfach wild am Zügel rum ruppen und ansonsten null Hilfen geben, und bei denen dass dann der gängige Reitstil ist, ohne die Gefahr z.B. in einen Sprung reinzurasen. Man sollte vllt mal genau über die Umstände nachdenken und sich über einen Sport informieren bevor man urteilt.

I'm not against horse sports, these horses just clearly weren't enjoying this, so what's the point? I never got sports with animals where the animals are forced to participate. What are you accomplishing? Dogs in obedience or agility, for example, are cared for physically and metally. They have to want to cooperate. Dogs in racing and sledding don't need to be cared for well, because they don't need to WANT to participate for the most part. It's just running in a line. Do some liberty with your horse, learn how to communicate instead of control, and then do dressage or jumping or whatever you so please, with a bit or without. Too many people hopping on horses, shoving bits in their mouths, strapping their mouths shut so they have no say, and grabbing their whips and spurs. Any old idiot can do that.

i don't think the horse would get up that fast and keep running if it's leg was broken. people fall, horses fall it's just part of anything :)

actually alot of horses love it...my horse takes off like a bullet with the sand in a bottle game
Do the horses know how to stand still? Are they trained to move while mounted? I don’t do it so just asking
During normal riding they stand when mounting but when doing games it’s a lot faster to mount in gallop so they’re thought to do that in the arena

Ihr solltet euch "normale" Videos von so einem Wettkampf anschauen und dann werdet ihr feststellen, dass dieser Sport bei Weitem nicht so "brutal" ist wie es hier vllt scheint.
Ausserdem gibt es da sehr strenge Auflagen, was da an Gebissen und so weiter verwendet werden darf. Sporen sind da z.B. nicht erlaubt und es dürfen auch nur Plastikbügel verwendet werden.
Und sicherlich macht es nicht jedem Pferd Spaß so ein Tempo zu gehen, aber dennoch gibt es welche, ich bin mir auch hier ziemlich sicher, dass da fast jeder ein Beispiel kennt. Ein Pony/ Pferd dass sofort lospäst, wenn man es auf die Wiese bringt und dann auch erstmal seine Runden dreht. Oder eines dass beim Reiten generell sehr flink ist. Und genau diese Ponies sind es auch die in diesem Sport gehen, ansonsten hätte man ja auch gar keine Chance mit einem Pferd dass sich weigert oder gar nicht erst auf die Geschwindigkeit kommt (häufig sind die die schnell sind ja auch die, die gerne rennen).
Genauso ist es mit dem Stress, natürlich braucht man da Pferde und Ponies die Nervenstark sind aber die gibt es auch genauso wie es totale Angsthasen gibt, die sich hierbei sicherlich quälen würden. (Und nein das im Video sind zum größten Teil keine gestressten Tiere und jeder der sich wirklich einigermaßen mit der Körpersprache und Verhalten von Pferden auskennt sieht dass auch, nur leider können das sehr viele nicht vernünftig abgrenzen und dann entstehen Kommentare wie sie unter diesem Video zu finden sind)
Und ganz zum Schluss möchte ich nochmal darauf hinweisen, dass das ein Fail Video ist. Schaut man sich solche von Dressur, Springen oder Vielseitigkeit oder Western an, sieht man ganz ähnliche Bilder. Gerade beim Springen muss das schon gar kein Fail Video sein, da sieht man sehr oft Reiter die einfach wild am Zügel rum ruppen und ansonsten null Hilfen geben, und bei denen dass dann der gängige Reitstil ist, ohne die Gefahr z.B. in einen Sprung reinzurasen.
Man sollte vllt mal genau über die Umstände nachdenken und sich über einen Sport informieren bevor man urteilt.

Ich wünsche mir nur das die Leute mal anfangen nachzudenken anstatt alles gleich auf Basis von gefährlichem Halbwissen alles direkt zu verteufeln.

So pretty much just a whole ton of yanking on the bit as hard as possible to destroy your horse's mouth. Yeah, seems like a good idea.
I'm not against horse sports, these horses just clearly weren't enjoying this, so what's the point? I never got sports with animals where the animals are forced to participate. What are you accomplishing? Dogs in obedience or agility, for example, are cared for physically and metally. They have to want to cooperate. Dogs in racing and sledding don't need to be cared for well, because they don't need to WANT to participate for the most part. It's just running in a line. Do some liberty with your horse, learn how to communicate instead of control, and then do dressage or jumping or whatever you so please, with a bit or without. Too many people hopping on horses, shoving bits in their mouths, strapping their mouths shut so they have no say, and grabbing their whips and spurs. Any old idiot can do that.
Sapphire Otaku Actually many games ponies really enjoy what they do and though they're not communicating too well during games they are in between and they are communicating. I think it's pretty fuckin' dumb to dub all animal sports unfair ^-^
It's quite clear that a lot of these horses really enjoy what they're doing.
