hi there,i have had a brand new rear tyre fitted but now it makes a knocking noise when wheeling it out of garage, also the abs light stays on,any idea what it could be
hi there i have been watching youre video,i cant get the plate off ,trying for hours,is it alright to knock at the side where the shock absorber side, thats the only thing thats holding me up
hi there i had a rear tyre fitted on my piaggio mp3 500 2016 bike now it makes a knocking noise when wheeling backwards, any idea what it could be,also the abs light stays on,all this has happened since tyre fitter changed tyre for new one
The only thing I can think of is that he didn't tighten locking wheel nut all the way . That's what sits it into place. It also needs to be torqued to the right amount but I don't think that's the problem
hello again, there is a pause in youre video, when getting the casing off did you hit it with something before taking it off as i said before there is no way i can get it off, need help as my cars broken down.
Hi. You can either hit it with something or like I said before jam a big screwdriver and pull. It doesn't need much force, a slight knock with a hammer or hard pull should get it going
Helpful video thank you. How many miles on this bike? I had to replace my rear shocks at 9 years, everything is a pain on this bike to replace. But great ride!
@@altercinema4311 currently 16.5k on the clock. Rear shocks are easy to replace. I'm gonna replace the belt soon. I don't think it's ever been done. Bought it with 6k miles on the clock
Hi thanks soo much for the video. Got the wheel off just as you did with your guidance. Did you need to replace that rear suspension or is the split ok ? ( I have the same )
Hi there I have had my rear wheel off to fit a new tyre after refitting my abs light comes on, and it makes a knocking noise when reversing it by hand, could it be that the tyre has not been put on right or the torque not tightened to the right pressure
@@WilliamGillan-ng2fu if you were able to put the locking nut and pin through it at the end then your wheel is probably fitted correctly and that wouldn't be making any noise (unless it's the pin that makes the noise?) I can't think of anything else. I presume the sensor is fitted back correctly and the cable is not touching anything
@@WilliamGillan-ng2fu as for the abs asr light. You might need to recalibrate asr. Just Google how to do it. That can happen if it detects different tyre pressure and you need to recalibrate it

@@maxibalkan1578 I have no idea. I always go with this one. You can get around 6-8k miles on it depending on your driving style and weight

Could you buy a new socket for the absorber?
No, apparently you need to buy the whole absorber. I didn't bother replacing it. Took it for an mot and it was ok

Yes. If you have a massive screwdriver try jamming and pulling . It needs a little knock

Also mame sure the holding frame is screwed back on properly. Even those bolts require certain torque. Check the manual for correct torque figures
