Leticia James (AG, civil) who had been working with DA's Office pursued civil case, and won. Bragg then pursued criminal case. - Had she not pursued/won, he may not have continued with his. trump has committed SO many crimes in NYC (going back 50 years before I was even born) and if they tried to charge him he threaten a lawsuit or might even file one and they'd drop the charges.
