- Its About Time I Got This Colorstory // Fourth Update for Pan Those Eyeshadows 2024
Rules for Pan Those Eyeshadows
1.Project starts in January and ends in December (11 months)
2. Monthly Updates
3. 4 shadows per round (3 in eyeshadow palette form, 1 single shadow)
4. Each shade usage will be 20 times
5. Goal is to hit pan (exception rule #4)
6. Shadows will come from duos, trios, quads, quints, z palettes and eyeshadow palettes.
7.Singles will be single pans as well as singles in z palettes...no creams
8. NO 2 of the same shades in one round. I will re roll
9. Can use shades however I please (nails, eyes, face etc)
10. NO VETOS. I use shade until I reach rule #4 or #5 whichever comes first. Then I can do whatever I want with shade (declutter, keep etc)
11.A palette or single shadow cannot be rolled in more than once in a year. It can be rolled in any following year after. I will re-roll
12. Hit 8 pans in 2024. I choose which ones if it doesn't happen organically from what is being rolled in.
13. If a shadow was already worked on in this project and I did not hit pan, I can re-roll for a new shade in the palette. Same applies for single shadows

Beautiful colour story! Perfect for the start of summer! You inspired me to start my own pan those eyeshadows project. I'm aiming for 10 uses each, which is still taking me a couple of months to hit with the way I'm wearing makeup currently, and definitely no pans, but I'm enjoying giving some eyeshadows that haven't seen a lot of use some love, and getting to know the different formulas and colours.

Yesterday I just hit pan on a big duochrome purple with light blue shimmer. I didn't expect it which makes me super happy because I wasn't trying consciously to pan it :)

I love it. I think you should give yourself three spins.
I am still on my capsule/curated jouney, but I want to try some panning and really think that right now allowing myself to have a neutral palette to fall back on with brights is my crutch, but getting saddled with the really tough color stories might overwhelm me.
I commend you for muscling through.
