You can find collections of Ohtani's seasonal HR bat sounds sequences in last 3 years from UA-cam or twt. Especially '21 &'23. They really sound like symphonies.
He’s been proving me wrong. He’s a really good baseball player. I always had some skepticism about his long term success but he keeps smashing. And 2 MVP awards. I’m rooting for you Ohtani!
According to a Shohei’s ex-teammate in NPB, his current bat is among the hardest in professional players with relatively a smaller sweet spot for putting the maximum power onto the ball, and not many players would use it because it’s too stiff, difficilt and painful when impacted. It’s really the sword for the hero.
@@kingkyrie5140 - No. It's literally the sound of wood hitting a baseball. It's not rocket science. Ohtani's home runs sound just like everyone else's home runs. Except maybe in college.
Ohtani is still struggling even in this game with facing 90s fastballs, he hit most out for HR last season easily even outside of box but this season he can hardly hit 90s fastballs for unknown reason(might caused by his recovery limitation).
I thought I kept seeing rerun of the same homer but damn how many is he going to hit and it pop up on my news feed man this guy became legendary already
@@BigChibi-y2kHis stats are very good yes. He's tied for first in the NL in WAR, and that's with a huge penalty being applied to his defensive WAR because he doesn't take the field. His OPS (on base plus slugging, an overall stat for hitting) leads the NL by far, and is tied for second in MLB with Soto, trailing only Judge. Judge and Ohtani are basically guarantees for MVP at this point barring injuries.
For National League, not just his offensive stats but his total WAR is league-leading. Plus, even if he's rehabbing his arm as a pitcher, no one can forget he's as good as anyone on the mound, too, so honestly that's just part of the equation imo
Dodgers has most stadium occupation in MLB for a number of years. Especially after Ohtani's joint this season, the stadium attendance is far higher even the ticket prices went up a lot. Dodgers fans even occupy most seats in visited stadiums especially in less popular stadiums, they often turned the visited ballparks into their home stadiums as most Dodgers fans occupied the spaces and floated the visited towns streets.
87mph+ more than a month ago. Ohtani told interviewer with shyness that he's still under a long way for recovery because he's throwing slow pitches like 87mph 😂 as a recovery pitcher(while most MLB pitchers are mainly throwing early 90s pitches during seasons) .
@berryleung7288 🤣 we can't compare normal pitchers to those top 10 pitchers like Ohtani . He's not 100% yet but he's throwing like a normal pitcher in the league , we'll see his control next season if he's ready . @@berryleung7288 He probably doesn't want to pitch anymore, he already going to make what his contract says even without pitching so why do more work for same amount of money
Most of you don't realize how great a swing this was give then pitch sequence and location. Keller hit his spot, manybe just a few inches high. All 3 pitches had the same arm slot. Many MLB hitters would of missed or rolled over on that pitch given the location. SO is on another level... best baseball player of all time.
He is still struggling on fastballs in the zone. Got lucky dude made a bad 2 strike pitch. If he would have buried it in the dirt ohtani would be 1 for last 49 AB with 2 STRIKES. Hope he snaps out of it. Looks absolutely awful in last few weeks.
People are forgetting this man is pitcher with two UCL a third would definitely end pitching and each procedure weakens that right elbow. Dodgers need to be smart.

Koufax was incredible but pitching and hitting have greatly changed since his day, im sure he could still strike out ohtani a few times, especially in the first couple ABs, but soon enough shohei would get a good handle on prim sandy, maybe not hitting 300 off of him, but doing far better than most hitters Sandy faced during his era
