Made these for family this afternoon, it had high praise! so passing it on! Great recipe!
Your recipe and presentation is the best!!! All meat, zero fat, full taste 💯 💯 💯
I just made this tonight! It was so good! Many thanks, Chef Jack Ovens!
This looks mouthwateringly delicious! Thank you for this recipe Chef! Will try asap.
Drooling 🤤 A tip for folks with kids who "don't like lumps" in their sauce (looking at you, middle daughter) - stick their portion in a mini blender or stick blender for a few seconds.
I made a version of this last night. Didn’t have the ingredients for the sauce so did a version without the pickles …so good
This is how I make my smash burgers too! Only beef and cheese are way too fatty for me, so i also add tomato, pickles and lettuce. The Oklahoma Onion Smash Burger (with thinly diced onions) is also a great option, that you should really give a try.
Oh my word….wouldnt be able to eat that without cutting it up…it’s huge but looks so tasty. The burger sauce is the star
I followed that Burger sauce to the letter and it was absolutely phenominal. Best sauce I've ever had hands down. Only thing different I did was instead of chopping the onion, I finely grated it so all the juices would come out, made the sauce even more pungent. :)
🏴🔥Perfect timing Chef. I had just decided to make the family burgers 🍔 tonight 👏
After having made these on my Cuisineart 360 outdoor griddle two years ago, it really is hard for me to have a burger any other way. They are absolutely divine. Here are some tips for making them even better:
1) Grind your own meat for the patties. I blend chuck roast and either brisket or beef short rib.
2) Use a food scale. Make the meat balls either 2 or 3 ounces, no heavier. And do NOT over pack them when forming . Handle them as little as possible.
3) Put the meat balls in a plastic container in the freezer before cooking and get them really super cold. I mean like 2 minutes away from being frozen solid.
4) Prepare your buns FIRST and have them ready for the burgers when they come off the grill. They cook fast so you want to be ready to serve as soon as they come off the heat.
5) Go ahead and slap yo mama across the teeth because these things are so damn good you're gonna end up doing it anyway.
Got n early notification but couldn’t watch until lunch break at work.
Looks so delicious not only because I’m a burger lover but, also because I’m so darn hungry. I’m tossing my egg salad sandwich. Ty for sharing. 👍🙋♀️
Oh wow!!! Your crispy bacon cheeseburgers are my go-to, but this looks like a great quick alternative! That sauce sounds epic :D Thank you for sharing all these fabulous recipes
Well done Jack, this looks amazing 😉 I love the sauce this its a must make for me. Better than a bought burger that’s for sure.
I'm making that saus next time. Looks amazing. Great video chef. I like the vibe in this video. Sound is also good again!
Awesome.... awesome... awesome....it's 0830 pm here, have already had my dinner, but after hearing that crunchy bite, I wanted that burger😂😋😋😋
Made these last week and were delish, will be a regular for me. Mine once assembled didn't look quite as pretty 😂 oh and used 5% mince
I was quite good a making the burgers anyway… but christ jack this sauce out of this world yummy! The best burger i have ever had… bravo!👌👍👏👏👏😄
Thanks chief, might try it one day.
Fast and simple gotta be a winner
Just made the sauce! So good!
You never fail to deliver Jack 👏
Jack...
I do believe you smashed this burger... Literary! 🍔👍🤤
Tip: Use a Paint Scraper to push the spatula down.
Great for use on the bbq too.
Cheers 😀🇦🇺
Chef Jack, I have some cottage cheese in the fridge and need some ideas. Can you make a video with cottage cheese recipes?
Just sent this to my Mum, we were talking about burgers just the other day and she was moaning about what a faff they are to make. This should convince her of how quick, easy and tasty they can be!
Looks great but you definitely want a ripping hot carbon steel or cast iron skillet for that proper smash burger crust, non-stick just doesn’t cut it
Looks TOPS mate. Many thanks for sharing.
Looks really yummy
Would definitely try it with my youtube community ❤
no idea why people call Kraft cheese "American cheese" it's not at all, Wisconsin cheese is American cheese like Colby Jack, or Pepper Jack cheese from California.
Lol, i agree. The plastic stuff should not be called american cheese. Cheddar should be American cheese
@@LT72884 not exactly, Cheddar is from England, its named after a district in Somsert, England. Pepper Jack or Colby Jack is real American cheese.
@@kevinprzy4539 true, but i think cheddar is more American than american cheese is haha. When the colonies started, they must have started with a cheddar type cheese and then modified it from there.
Its not about where it's made...
Us Europeans call it American cheese because we don't use it and the only places it's in the food are in American fastfood chains... McDonalds and such.
So... It's not American because it comes from America... It's American because Americans use it.
Looks delicious,🍔!! I think I'm going to make the sauce🍔
Epic burger 🍔
happy to see that you dialed back the moving shots and close-ups with your cameraman. I am super happy that your channel blew up but I'm sure most of us like your laid back straight to the point approach and are mostly interested in your tips and clear instructions
American plastic stuff. I’m in New York and I believe, this is true😔
I’m trying to forage for clean food but it’s getting so expensive. Nice looking burger 🍔
Be safe, be well and be blessed.
this looks insanely good, next time though, add some caramelized onions to the burger - next level!
Jack looked very happy to eat that so it must be good :)
Omg I think I'm in love! ❤
Urrrrgghh the colour of that cheese
looks delicious! Is it okay to store the sauce in the fridge for a week?
Looks good bro
Man that looks so good. 😋
Great video Jack. I remember cooking the last one you made a while back, and this one looks great, too. I'll have to make it again. As a fellow Australian, can I ask you where you're buying American cheese? I swear that Woolworths and Coles don't sell them, unless I'm blind? I'll definitely be making this.
Smash burgers are ridiculously good.
Biff tomato not regular ones :D looks nice !
Mmmmmmmmm!!! Damn!
My favourite part is when we get to dig in
Can you do a Veggie burger please Jack.
You gotta take those stickers of the fridge, lad - Respect the 4.5 stars though 🙂
But American cheese is literally the best you can put on a burger
Anyone who uses American "cheese" on a burger has no credibility. Why would I want to make one at home and have it taste like fast-food crap?
Could I sub minced turkey or chicken? Can't do red meat these days I'm afraid :(
That's a non-stick pan right? Not a stainless steel one? Would steel be the better option? I love my steel pan and I feel betrayed😂
It’s hexclad so it’s both stainless and non stick. Works a treat for something like this but stainless works really well too
Mmmmm
Where on earth do you find tomatos that big?!
I love burgers 🍔 ❤❤❤❤😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
Oh my cholesterol, here we go. Thanks Jack. X
a burger wont break my diet right?
Who spends $5 or Euro 5 at the McD for a burger, when you can make him for 2,20 at home ? Not me !
No lettuce for me
Holy shit I don't even eat meat but holy shit
American processed cheese food is delicious on a burger. It has to be at least 51% to be called cheese in the States, but not all brands have enough cheese to qualify. Weird.
You mentioned “American plastic stuff”… what does this mean?
I think that fake chemical chees wrapped in plastic.thats what we call that stuff here in the Netherlands. Its cheese flavor almost no cheese in it
🍔🤘👍
80% fat beef? i think you meant 20%? 80% would be pure fat with a few bits of beef mince in it??
No onion? Weak.
@MikeMajlakVlogs
Omg this brioche fad for burgers.... no no no no no no no!
Looks good otherwise
Looks amazing
When we were in Da Nang, we visited a restaurant named Bikini Bottom, and I loved their smash burger. That was the very first time I had a smash burger. I wanted to try making it, and luckily, I found this video from my favorite channel. Thank you so much 😊
